What We Do
Audible is the leading producer and provider of audio storytelling. We spark listeners’ imaginations, offering immersive, cinematic experiences full of inspiration and insight to enrich our customers daily lives.
The Best in Audio Entertainment
We are passionate about expanding what’s possible in audio entertainment. With more than a million titles in our catalog, we work with some of the biggest names around the world, as well as emerging talent, to bring distinctive Originals, audiobooks and podcasts to listeners in over 180 countries, in 50 languages.
Innovative, Original Content
Our Audible Originals have won numerous prestigious awards and span all genres and categories, from short-form podcasts to long-form audiobooks and everything in between. Together with writers, performers and producers we experiment and explore new creative possibilities, bring Audible Theater productions to life, combine memoir with intimate concerts in our Words + Music series, give comedic talent free range to invent new ways to make us laugh, and create large, immersive multicast productions that cross genres and cultures.
A Home for Creatives
Sparking our listeners’ imaginations starts by making Audible a home for creators. We invite some of the biggest names in their respective fields, including many of the most beloved franchises and production companies, to build new worlds with us and bring their visions to life. We also work to discover, develop and promote emerging storytellers from all over the world through programs like our Podcast Development Fund, Emerging Playwrights Fund, Singapore Accelerator, and Indigenous Writers’ Circle, as well as ‘Hear My Story,’ in which our editors help amplify voices through curated content and editorial lists. And our Audiobook Creation Exchange (ACX) enables content creators to produce an audiobook, connect with narrators and producers, and enable access to an audience of millions of audio lovers across the globe.

A Culture of Innovation
Audible creates cutting-edge experiences for our listeners, like in spatial audio with Dolby Atmos, and helps drive equitable access, such as integrating Alexa voice controls into the Audible app. We have always known that technology can transform culture. This drives our work into the future, and extends to programs like internships and returnships, which are designed to foster an inclusive culture of tech at Audible.
Who We Are
We are a global company with an entrepreneurial spirit. We are dreamers and inventors who are passionate about the positive impact Audible can make for our customers and our neighbors. This spirit courses throughout Audible, supporting a culture of creativity and inclusion built on our People Principles and our mission to build more equitable communities in the cities we call home.
We serve members in 180 countries with content in 50 languages.
Our People Principles
Audible’s People Principles celebrate who we are and where we’ve been, and guide the way we work shoulder to shoulder to enhance the lives of our millions of customers. They reflect and apply to everyone who works at Audible—the entrepreneurs and operators, the dreamers and the doers, those who have worked here for 20 years and those who have arrived in the past few weeks and months.
People PrinciplesLife at Audible
Our customers span the globe, and so do we, with hubs all over the world. We have long been committed to building a workplace that empowers, engages, and inspires colleagues and fosters meaningful connections—both inside Audible and with our creators and local communities. Employee-led impact groups encourage us to embrace our human spectrum and be who we are.
Our Global Impact
We moved our headquarters to Newark in 2007 to contribute to the city’s renaissance as a thriving hub of innovation. Working with local leaders, we help support Newark’s economy through programs that promote equity, like seeding startups, hiring locally, encouraging local spending and keeping downtown restaurants open through the pandemic and beyond. We launched the Global Center for Urban Innovation to generate more programs like these in the cities where we operate. We also invest in the creative economy worldwide, building ecosystems of performers, studios, sound engineers, writers and other creatives.
