Publisher's summary

A Brief History of the Lavatory is a brief but hilarious look at the history of toilets! It will take you through the development of lavatories over the years, beginning in 3000 BC. It’s informative, but funny and tells you all the important facts that you need to know, like how to poo in space and some of the famous people who have died on the loo! It is a great listen and highly recommended for adults, who are still a kid at heart (which means most of us!).

A Brief History of... is a series of comedic historical audiobooks, created by Steve Campen and based on all that is weird and wonderful. Also in this series: A Brief History of Rats and Cockroaches.

Loads of scat facts

I love any kind of historical titles, written in a jaunty tone that enables you to learn while being thoroughly entertained. So maybe a 20 minute scatalogical bit isn't Unbroken, but it's amusing and educational. I now need to research Bill Gates's call to arms for waterless toilet systems!! Plus the author as narrator is quite charming.
