Publisher's summary

Riley Campbell is no stranger to loss. After losing her father in a car accident at a young age, she decides to forfeit her relationship with her mother to move in with an older man at the age of 17. Four years later, after ending the relationship with the man for physically abusing her, she feels the need for a celebratory tattoo; her first of what she expects to be many. Her expectations of the parlor, the artist, and the process are pretty weak as she walks in.

Upon entering, she's pleasantly surprised.

Covered in tattoos, handsome, mysterious, and muscular, Blake West is not at all what Riley expected to find, but exactly what she feels she needs.

Blake is the mysterious owner of Blurred Lines, a tattoo parlor that not only has provided him with a steady income, but in the past supplied a steady stream of women into his life. Now, however, things for him are much different. Blake is a recovering sex addict, and professes being faithful. Details of his sordid past, however, are sketchy at best.

As he begins the process of tattooing her for the first time, she feels an almost addiction to the process, the feeling of being tattooed, the ink on her skin, and ultimately, Blake.

As the tattooing of Riley continues, so does her knowledge of Blake. Life-long secrets unveil themselves, and as they do, she realizes not only how much they are alike, but the truth surrounding her father's death.

"Everyone has secrets; revealing them is simply a matter of finding out where to dig."

Blurred Lines is a stand-alone erotic romance and the first book in the Bodies, Ink and Steel series. It has an HEA, no cheating, no sex outside the relationship, and no sharing of partners. The only sex is between the hero and the heroine.

4 Blurred Lines Stars

A first for me by this author, it won’t be the last.
Okay, Blake, I was a little confused with him until you get to know him and why he is the way he his. I thought he was a little standoffish. I get why now, but you see the spark between him and Riley right away. You just know it’s going to be good.

Am I the only one that kind of liked Tyler? Well until he was a huge A - HOLE. But I was digging him. I did wonder why Riley didn’t interact with him like at all. Especially in the first tattoo meeting, it felt like Blake was just repeating what Tyler was saying. I didn’t really understand that part. But overall I wanted to see more Tyler…

Riley thank goodness for getting out of a messed up relationship!! It’s just to bad it took her so long but it can’t be easy when that’s kind of all you know.
I love her momma, we totally need a book where she gets an HEA, who knows maybe it’s already written and I just don’t know about it. I would like to see her with one of the bikers, 39 is NOT old!! So yes I want more HEA’s lol.

This book deals with some pretty big issues. I like how it wasn’t swept under the rug but it wasn’t the main focus of the book either it was more about overcoming and finding a true connection. He didn’t dwell on his past he was just living his life the best way he knew how and then Riley walks in and changes his life for the better. :)

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Healing in sight

I listen to the audio while following along with he ebook with this story. Have you ever read a book and thought you knew the direction it was going. Thought you knew the characters well for the author to throw a twist in there that makes you realize that you did not know that character at all. Well that is what Scott Hildreth did in this book. I truly thought I knew Blake well for my thought process to be derailed. I truly had to stop reading the book and have a good laugh over the twist that the author threw in there.

I loved Riley. She was a woman that was trying to find herself. She had just got out of an abusive relationship. She was free to do what she wanted without there being someone there to knock her in place. She was a free woman and with that came exploring who she truly was and what she wanted in life.

We get to know Riley’s mother in this story. I truly loved her mother and the relationship Riley had with her mother. Her mother was a woman that was very open minded, did not judge people by their appearance, and truly loved her daughter.

I loved when Riley met Blake. She had went in to his shop, Blurred Lines, wanting a tattoo. Blake knew he was in trouble the moment he saw her and the fact she had glasses was the icing on the cake.

Blake was a man that was trying to fight his own demons. He had so much pain it will truly break your heart. As we get to reading and finding out about all his addictions we think we get to know him. I loved the fact that he was seeking help and truly wanted to stay on the path to healing.

I loved how Blake was able to see that Riley was part of his healing process. I was shocked to find out that Riley knew members of the Selected Sinners MC. I did love the story of how she came to know them.

I loved when Stevie was brought into the picture. She was so funny. Just loved her personality. It will take a very strong and understanding man to be with her that is for sure.

This truly was a great story and glad I got to read the book. As I said earlier I listen to the audio while following along with the ebook. The narrator truly did a wonderful job. You can not go wrong whether you chose ebook or audio. Both are truly great.
