A seductive woman who knows men are good for one thing....
A man who knows women only bring him grief and prefers to selfishly use them for his own pleasure....
A chance meeting at the perfect time spells trouble....
Raelynn Bardwell was determined to nail down Max Renfroe for a meeting and expected a purchase order from his bar for the new tequila brand she represents. While she excels in sales, she has only managed to suck at relationships.
Max Renfroe wants the tequila, but a new girl to add to his black book list wouldn't hurt either - but he only has time for sex.
It takes two to tangle and boy, they do. Can either of them get their payday?
International best-selling author Abbie St. Claire brings you a sexy romp with two self-proclaimed "permanently single" characters that get caught up in an "I do, but I don't" scenario. Which scenario wins?

Story
Obituary writer Nadine Barbault doesn’t mind being called “Lady Death”. It suits the ice queen persona she’s cultivated to survive the fast-paced Toronto Herald. So when Nadine learns that famous (and reclusive) author Dot Voline has died, she doesn’t hesitate to run the obituary…only to discover that Dot is very much alive. Nadine’s screw-up has brought Wesley Chen of the rival Spear no end of joy—she’s been a thorn in his extremely ambitious side for years. But the renewed interest in Dot also surfaced chatter about a mysterious past scandal.

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

Booty Call, That is All-Predictable A+ Performance
*I was given this book in exchange for an unbiased review.
Raelynn Bardwell is a tequila representative. She has her eye on Max Renfro for her next big sale.
When they meet it is not business only…
They have each been hurt in the past in such a way to be confirmed bachelor and bachelorettes (whatever a female bachelor is called.) However, after their first encounter. Their hot "booty calls" become more frequent… What will become of this "relationship" beyond tequila and hookups?
While I enjoyed this book, it wasn't quite up to what I expect from Abbie St. Claire. I don't know if it was the super, simple plot, predictable or what. There were continuous explicit scenes – it wasn't lacking there, at all.
Pamela Peters is a wonderful narrator and the last Abbie St. Claire book kept me on the edge of my seat, Peter's narration added to it. Her performance is well beyond adequate – she is a talented and professional narrator. I always enjoy a chance to listen to her work.
I look forward to the next St. Clair/Peters book.
Notes: Erotic scenes & strong language
Rating: NC–17 if it were in a movie theater,
I enjoy leaving reviews, as I know that I read the reviews of others before I purchase a book. If you found my review helpful in your decision about this book, would you please select "yes" directly below this review? Thank you so much.
Please consider "following me" here on Audible.com. I purchase a lot of books by authors that I am faithful to and well known names. I also have the unique opportunity to review books from lesser known/new authors in all genres. Most of these books are not something that I would not pick up on my own. I have been pleasantly surprised by new authors and great narrators.

Angst-free romance read by a passionate narrator
STORY: 3.5-4 stars
PERFORMANCE: 4 stars
OVERALL: 3.75 rounded up to 4 stars
I received this audiobook for free in exchange for my honest review.
PERFORMANCE:
I'd feel confident betting a lot of money that the narrator, Pamela Peters put a LOT of time and effort into preparing to record this audio book. I suspect that she thoroughly read Booty Call at least one time before actually recording her performance and probably has been trained as an actress. I say this because it's impossible not to notice the amount of emotion exuded in her words; the tone and pitch of Ms. Peters' voice changing to perfectly fit each character, adjusting to conform with the character's mood or situation. Ms. peters did not just read a script or a book; she put on a performance. Ms. Peters is unlike any narrator I've ever listen to listen to probably 50 audiobooks. I feel grateful that I had the opportunity to listen to this book in audio format, certain that my perception of this book would have been very different had I read the ebook where I would have, "heard" the voices in my head instead of through Ms. Peters voice. My feelings about and rating of Booty Call were positively impacted by this narrator's voice.
STORY: Booty Call is not a terrible book yet there is nothing about it that makes it extraordinary or unique either. I understand that some readers like books that do not contain a lot of angst and drama yet I felt this book was a bit too, "safe". For me, the premise behind Booty Call is a typical and predictable one. Basically, Booty Call is a ***THE NEXT SENTENCE CONTAINS A SPOILER***
HEA romance about a man and a woman who like each other yet have obstacles in the way of them having a relationship, ending up together in the end.
**END OF SPOILER***
Occasionally, I enjoy reading a laid back, drama-free, safe romance yet I could not feel the passion between the main characters so the romance wasn't all that believable. Come to think of it, I didn't feel emotion about ANY of the characters. I am open to reading more books by this author yet this particular book did not grab me or consume my thoughts like fabulous books do.

All Mixed Up
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I'm not sorry I read it. It is a middle of the road type book. You like some parts & some parts not so much
What other book might you compare Booty Call to and why?
I can not think of a particular title but it's in the category of falling in love.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
I was not pleased with the voices she did for the characters. They all sounded the same to me. That's one reason I did not enjoy the book as much.
Was Booty Call worth the listening time?
Yes, I would not say I wasted my time by listening but it was what I had heard before in other similar books.
Any additional comments?

Another excellent read from Abbie St Claire...
I love these audio books written by Abbie St Claire! This book is an erotic romance with a real story to it. Not at all smutty, but very good! It is hot and sexy and classy too! Booty Call is book 3 of this series and so far all 3 books I read have been awesome. They are exciting and hold my interest completely!
The author Abbie St Claire does a fantastic job on her writings. Back when book 1 came out, I had never heard of this author and now I can't wait for the next audio to come out! All of her audio books are exciting and the narrator, Pam peters does a fantastic job on the deliveries of each and every story. Ms Peters has a comforting and soothing southern drawl that just pulls me in. I find her voice captivating always! Together these two ladies are explosive to say the least! They are magical.
*** I received this audio book as a gift in exchange for a honest and unbiased review of my thoughts on it. These are my own words and opinion. ***
