A solid collection, needed to Branch out more
The narration was done well though some accents came off a little ruff. Stories are told well though it missed the mark as far as truly utilizing the steampunk theme. Too many stories fucused directly on the interplay of doctor and patient in the midst of the "hysteryia" epidemic and the only minorities to feature are of Asian decent. The class dynamic features well and some stories are take a surprising shift which is nice. I just believe there was that could have been done.

Super hot
Would you listen to Carnal Machines again? Why?
Oh yes. This was one of the most amazing collection of erotica I have ever experienced. It made me so hot. Just listening was a delight to all the senses.

So many different perspectives makes for a potpourri of titilating imagination.

Steamy punk
There are some good and steamy tails here ,if corsets and machines that buzz for all the right reasons is your thing than this collection should not disappoint.

If you like Steampunk Erotica.....then
If you could sum up Carnal Machines in three words, what would they be?
A great assortment of short stories by great authors. Some stories are fantastic, some are just amusing. However defiantly worth a listen for those who enjoy the genre. Sexy, Steamy, HOT!
What did you like best about this story?
Each story was read by a different narrator, and gave it a bit more juice.....if you get my drift. I love Erotic collections, because it gives you a chance to here new authors.
Have you listened to any of Basil Longfellow and Tatiana Sokolov ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No I haven't but I'll be looking for them in the future.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes several, but I don't like to influence other people in listening. Like I said if you enjoy Erotica, and Steampunk , I think you'll enjoy this group of stories. Many are 5 star, a few 4 star, and maybe 1 3 star, but that's just me.

Hot!
This collection of stories has something for everyone from voyeurism, brothels, medical experiments, mystery the list goes on all with a steampunk twist. These stories have ladies in corsets getting and giving pleasure anyway they can with these wonderful steam powered devices that'll leave you wanting some of these gadgets for yourself. If you enjoy erotica or steampunk then you'll most definitely enjoy these stories that combine the two.
