About this listen

Jolene "Jo" Miller has been panting over her crush for years. He's everything she wants: a gentle giant with kick-ass ambition and a rock-hard body that she's dying to ride. The problem is, she's stuck in his friend zone due to one embarrassing reason - she's untouched. Jo's crush has no interest in popping her cherry. She'll need to take some drastic measures to get her crush's attention, and Jo has the perfect candidate to punch her v-card.

Kevin Harris is an unapologetic manwhore. With his panty-melting smile and chiseled body, he has his choice of tits and ass. His motto: hit 'em hard and leave them aching for more. Relationships aren't his thing, and they never crossed his mind until he met Jo. She's everything Kevin doesn't know he wants. She makes him tingle, and not just below the belt. But Jo's not into it, she's the only girl who doesn't want to ride the Harris express. They're just friends until Jo asks him to help her with some sexual education. One kiss, one taste, he's hooked. Now Kevin has to convince Jo that he's the perfect man for her. He craves being a permanent fixture not only in her bed, but in her life. Will she give him the chance?

Warning: This sexy romance novel contains a fed-up virgin who thinks she knows what she wants, and a dominant alpha male guiding her down a kinky path. This is a stand-alone story set in an interconnecting series with a HEA and no cheating.

My Two Pennies

This was a sweet and sexy read. Jo is trying to lose her V-Card and whom better to help rectify the situation then your friend right?. The story is the perfect friends to lovers romance that had me hooked. Kevin is known for his “sharing the love” ways but as the lessons move further along with Jo his whole perspective changes little by little. Great read and where introduced to other characters that Id love to hear their stories on as well.

Good but not great!!

This book was sort of rushed. It could of been great had the author let the story develop. It was just ok for me.

Lots of inner monologue

The story was cute, but my God, the constant inner monologue! I know we need to know the thoughts of the characters to connect with them, but Jo talked to herself endlessly. I would hit the skip 10 seconds button, nope, still rambling on, skip etc. it’s a cute story, but be ready for some eye rolls and inner thoughts of your own like shut up and say something out loud already! Lol

Good book and amazing listen

The book was really good. I liked the premise but I just wish it had a little more slow burn to it but that is just my personal preference. The narration was AMAZING!! Christian Rummel is definitely one of my favorite narrators. I recommend it’s a quick and easy listen.

Sweet, hot love story

I liked the narration. Christian Rummel’s voice is so deep and yummy.

My story summary: young innocent girl goes to an older man-whore for instruction. She has a crush on someone else. He isn’t interested in a relationship. They fall in love. This was made interesting by the dialogue, the side characters and the hot sex scenes.

Not for me

I tried getting a better headline for my review, but I could't find anything short enough to convey what I thought about this book.

******WARNING****** ******IT MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS****** ******WARNING******

This is a girl trying to loose her virginity so she can get the guy she has had a crush on for a long time, but who doesn't like to deal with virgins. Enter the friend, hero, who is a manwhore and who decides to help the girl with her dilemma after she asks him to.

They both start getting together, making out and fooling around while the girl discovers her sexual tendencies with complete abandon. They also start knowing each other better, and as you guessed, they start falling for each other.

Enter a blast from the hero's past, who had hurt him immensely, and the reason why the hero decided never to get close to anybody, hence becoming a manwhore. After this encounter, the hero decides to do a 180, and decimate the girl's heart because he is not good for her, and blah, blah, blah. He REALLY makes sure to follow her to stomp on her heart some more so there is no doubt he doesn't want her, and all of this he does "for her own good".

I was fine with the book until that point.

The heroine is brokenhearted. She goes on zombie like for a few days, after which she gets a chance at her old crush, who she now finds out does nothing for her, except repel her a bit. She gives him a noncommittal answer, and leaves with a "let's see". She decides that she will not lead the guy on and doesn't feel good about doing it, so she goes to the place they were supposed to meet only to find him with another girl (who is on her knees in front of him doing you know what). She doesn't even feel a bit hurt by the scene which tells her he wasn't any good for her to begin with.

There is some drama that I will not get into here, but as the heroine is leaving, she finds herself in front of the guy that humiliated her in the worst way, and then threw her away like a piece of worthless garbage after leading her to believe they were together, and what does the girl do you ask? Well, in less than a second she just forgives him and takes him back!. Sorry, but HELL-to-the NO! If that makes me a miserable person, then so be it, but if somebody did something like that to me, no even crawling on his knees for a mile would make me take him back. No groveling in the world would have been enough for me to forgive and forget so fast. Maybe with time, but never that fast.

I know I am in the minority with my negative review, and I may get heck for it, but I do not recommend this book.

The narrators did a great job, though.

Cheap

Not much going on in this story besides lusting. Make sure you could return it before you get it.
