Surprising

I was pleasantly surprised. Although short it was informative. I've always wanted to go to a comic con. I was provided this book free of charge in return for an unbiased review.

Comic Con Visit

Would you consider the audio edition of Journey to Nerdopolis to be better than the print version?

This was a fun and informative description of what it's like to be at the San Diego Comic Con-at least, in 2013. I think the author-narrator did a good job giving the reader/listener a detailed glimpse into what it's like to attend this event; in fact, the description was so detailed that I felt like I was right there with him! You will definitely get a good sense of the culture of the San Diego Comic Con from this fun audiobook!

Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

Feels Like a Secret Look into ComicCon

I enjoyed Colby Elliot's storytelling skills and the opportunity to get a boots on the ground description of a visit to ComicCon. As a San Diego resident, I'm always curious of an outsiders perception of our city and the craziness that is ComicCon. This presentation felt like a well produced and extended podcast that is great for a quick listen that doesn't require all of your attention to follow. Although, I will warn you that the comic book nerd in you will stop about 5 minutes and go "wait a minute, what was that?" to the awesome panel references and nerd culture mentioned. You may just find yourself backing up the story to relisten to these tidbits throughout the story.

As an aside, I found it hilarious our author was afraid to speak with the female Cosplay characters throughout the convention. Too funny!

This Was an Awesome Look at SF Comic Con

JOURNEY TO NERDOPOLIS was an awesome journey. As one who's never been to a Comic Con, I now have an idea of what it's like. I've always wanted to go to one of these conventions. I really liked the part of this story where it seems that everything falls into perfect place for them. It was neat hearing about the authors, actors, and interviewers and how it all works.

This was a terrific listen and I always love to hear the author read his own story, COLBY ELLIOTT sounded especially good. He was THE perfect narrator for his book. Definitely recommended if you've always wondered what it's like at Comic Con and/or what Cos Play is with the bonus of how much exercise you'll get by walking.
