Publisher's summary

A haunted house becomes the focus of a demonic investigation, so Brenda teams up with a trio of werewolves to solve the mystery. But when the house eats her, can they find a way to save her?

I met a trio of furballs when my BFF was dealing with a demon issue and since then, I can't stop thinking about them.

When the chance to investigate a possessed house appears on my desk - after I filch it from someone else's - I know it's fate we team up again.

However, I might have bitten off more than I can chew, because suddenly my hunky puppies are demanding I become their permanent chew toy.

Me, mated? Eek, but also yum. Did I mention they totally make my body purr?

Before we can indulge in a sweatily-ever-after, though, they'll need to save me from Mr. Peabody's house, because I do believe it ate me.

Contains mature themes.

Could’ve been better

I have a hard time with the leading ladies being portrayed as stupid! I wanted to throw my phone a few times because it was so bad! I liked the ending but getting to there took patience 😑

a whole lot of wow packed into one story

Extremely funny and very exciting. I cant wait for A demon stole my kitty. Also Chandra Skyye did a very good job reading this book, had me laughing even harder at Brenda.

Loved it!

This was a very well written story. Brenda 's character was a hoot and just plain amazing. This series stays true to the theme of strong, capable female leads. The men are just plain sexy alphas! The storyline is fast paced and detailed! Nothing is lacking here!

Annoying AF

To start off, I'm a HUGE Eve Langlais fan. Ive bought almost every book of hers. (I believe 'A demon and his Witch' and 'The Wickedest Witch' to be her masterpieces). But this book fell short for me.

I begrudgingly finished it because her stories usually tie together and I didn't want to miss information that would be needed for the next book. However, this heroine is so annoying that I routinely found myself removing my earbuds and chanting "Shut up, shut up, shut up".

At one point, her best friend even admits that the heroine needs three mates because if a person is alone with her for too long they'd blow their own brains out. I love Eve's books, but I wish I could have a refund on this one. Hopefully the next book in the series will make up for it.

Young girl find adventure, sex & paranormal lovers

Sharp , funny and well written story about a young female looking for lust/love. A paranormal mystery causes the lead female to find herself in a pickle. The story has a wonderful mixture of paranormal characters. Witches, demons, vampires, werewolves, human, interacting. All the humans characters are anglo but the paranormal characters are richly diverse with their own prejudices and hierarchy of importance in the pecking order in the paranormal realm. This book is one of a series with similar structure of storyline. The entire series is entertaining with a mild kick of sexual spice. Worth the money or credit.. flip a coin. Entertaining quirky paranormal stories can ALWAYS be found in all Eve Langlais stories. The man characters are consistently similar with the exception of a change of hair color (in the young female lead) Chosen voice actors used, are always excellent fix..Finally with an EVE LANGLAIS story, you will get witty writing and happy endings guaranteed.

She came on like a wrecking ball

“Didn’t you hear what Peabody said happened to the priest? The house ate him!”
Brenda: “The real question is: Did the priest enjoy it?”
“You are one sick puppy, Brenda.”
This is for folks who like obnoxious, Anna Kendrick-style comedy. Brenda is a huge brat.

Sebastian: “Don’t you have any boundaries?”
No. No she doesn’t. Brenda has no boundaries.

Brenda: “So when does the debauching happen?”
Mike: “There will be no debauching”
Brenda also comes on like a woman in heat, which is ironic considering she’s the human in this MMMF romance, or rather WWWH romance, with its three werewolves Nick, Dale, and Sebastian.

Brenda: “I hope you get a rash and have to wear a cone for a month!”
Turns out, however, Brenda’s fronting big time. She just wants someone, anyone, to hug, and squeeze, and call him George.

I liked that this one spent more time on the demon mystery. I also liked that the sex was dialed back a bit. On the other hand, Brenda’s vapidity was exhausting, the frequent use of “va-jay-jay” was annoying, and if Mike, Dale, or Sebastian called her “baby” or “ki__en” one more time I wanted to strangle them … or the narrator, who can’t pronounce the “T” in words like “kitten.”
