Publisher's summary

On the run from her former employer, Tess knows that she's vulnerable on her own amongst the Elder Races. That's why she decides to audition to become the human attendant of a powerful Vampyre of the Nightkind demesne. But while her position affords her the safety she seeks, her protector turns out to be more than she bargained for.

Xavier del Torro, the right-hand man of the Nightkind King, is both terrifying and alluring. While his true nature frightens Tess, she can't ignore the appeal of his innate sense of integrity and self-restraint. Thrown into Xavier's world, Tess must quickly learn to navigate the dangers - both to her life and to her heart. But the biggest threat comes from her own past.

Weakest of the series

It started off well enough before stalling out. Neither one of these characters was strong enough to carry a book. Pia and Dragos would have been bored to tears.

By far the most romantic of the series...

It was so refreshing to have characters who weren't constantly bickering or slamming one another up against walls. That kind of friction can be good fun too, but it was so nice to get a break from that type of story. This one and Oracle's Moon are my favorites for that very reason. They are both lighter on the over the top, screaming conflicts between the hero and heroine. The heroines in both this one and Oracle's Moon were still feisty, just not the raging lunatics I've read in some stories. (I barely made it through Kinked. I almost quit when she brought up a strap-on. Seriously...too much.) I loved Xavier's character. He put me in the mind of Antonio Banderas, which could never be a bad thing to me.

Anyway... By far the best one in my opinion. My only complaint is that it felt too short. I don't know if that's just because I was enjoying it so much or if it actually was a little shorter. And I was disappointed that the epilogue was dedicated to a character from the next book instead of a peek into their future. I think that's the first in this series to jump to another character in the final chapter. From the sound of things the next one is going to be more face scratching and slamming up against walls. Can't complain too much though since I'm still listening. ;)

Great narrator. Great book. Keep them coming!

starts more slowly than the prior books

I was so used to the hot untamed emotions of the Were that the cold sneaky passion of the vamps surprised me. All in all, though, it was a great story.

Vampire, take me away!

I loved this book. The interesting thing was how the passion was more realistic and down to earth. I really got into the story. I'm biting my nails for the next book. HOT HOT HOT!

Still love the Elder Races...BUT....

Okay, I miss Dragos and the Griffins, that has got to be why I didn't fall in love with this book. This one doesn't even touch on NY or Dragos for more than 30 seconds just to say the main character went to the games in NY and it was fun..poof that was it, just a brief second to connect with the fan favorites of the Weir domain.

This story takes place in the Night kind Domain, the Vampire Domain, and it was a decent story, just not all enrapturing like the Weir Domain stories. In this story we hear from the Gin and the vampires mostly, and we got to hear more about Julian, which was good because he seemed really shady in other books due to all his interactions with Carling...anyway....If you like the Elder races you will like the book and revisiting this wonderful world of Mrs. Harrison, but think of it as a short story rather than the next novel in the series so you won't be disappointed.

AWESOME

If you could sum up Night's Honor in three words, what would they be?

I loved it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

How can I pick just one. The two main characters were amazing.

Which scene was your favorite?

When he was teaching her to waltz. Chuckled all the time he was trying to teach her.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Breathe.

Any additional comments?

I hated to hear it end. Wanted it to go on and on. I know I will probably listen to this book several times.
