Publisher's summary
Phoenix:
I met the love of my life when I was 17 years old. She was my best friend, my love, my soulmate. Even at such a young age, we had a solid plan for our future. I would join the Marines after graduation. We would get married after my first deployment. When my time with Marines was up, we would start a family.
But that's not what happened. I came home to find out she disappeared a few weeks after I left. Pop and Gram had everyone searching for her. Pop even hired some of the best private investigators in the business, but it was as if she vanished into thin air. I never gave up the search. I was bound and determined to find her, though I never had much to go on.
Then, one day, out of the blue, Ember walked into my clubhouse and set off a chain of events that ultimately revealed almost 40 years of secrets. With my club by my side, we began sorting through the mess left behind by one man's obsessive jealousy. After a year of combing through a maze of underground tunnels and hidden rooms and sorting through boxes and boxes of files, I finally found the name I had been searching for.
Annabelle Burnett. Hang on, doll face, I'm on my way.

Beckett: If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart.

some good moments
(Phoenix & Annabelle) triggers: drugs, kidnapping, trafficking. Finally, we get the story of Ember's parents and find out what happened to her mom after she was born. After the last plot twist, we were in need of a little bit of closure with this family. Let me tell you… this one is a doozy. If you haven't read the first two books, I would suggest you read them first in order to follow along with this crazy family tree. T.B. takes us back in time to when the MC’s president, Phoenix was a teenager and the day he first meets the love of his life. Right off, you'll fall in love with these young love birds but it's not long before the author reminds you just how much life sucks. After graduation, Phoenix heads off to the Marines while Annabelle stays back going to go to community college while working. Except, her dad has other plans and she is taken to the farm (ranch) under the impression that her parents owe the owner money and they have to work it off. When Phoenix returns on leave it's to find that his love has disappeared and no one knows where or why. Present day, Phoenix and the guys have found a lead to Annabelle, do Phoenix heads out on his bike. The story starts to drag a little at this point because it's basically a road trip. I have to say that Annabelle has definitely changed and I didn't really like her much in the beginning. But she is dealing with a lot. The story does get better and of course the drama is never done when the RBMC is involved. And the MC must fight to keep history from repeating. I did enjoy the book overall.

Awesome Story
Throughly enjoyed the story if I had to complain it would be it was too short. Likable main characters, updates on previous characters, brotherhood, family, humor, tears, drama, suspense and communication. Great narrators. Can’t wait to continue.

Great series!
I love this series by Teagan Brooks, and had anxiously awaited Phoenix and Annabelle's story. The story itself did not disappoint, but I found myself jumping ahead through a lot of Mia's parts. She doesn't really have many expressions in her voice, and it got to be tiring after a while. I have the books in e-format, so will probably stick with that. I actually downloaded this series because of Troy. I absolutely love his voice!! He narrates another one of my favorite series, and does an outstanding job, so thought I would give this one a try. I gave the 5 star performance for Troy's portion - Mia would get a 3 on this book.

Phoenix and Annabelle
This story had the perfect amount of suspense, action, humor, and romance. I enjoyed every moment of it. Loved how we got to see how Phoenix and Annabelle met, fell in love and what transpired from there. From the beginning Phoenix had this presence about him that was overbearing, a little gruff, but loving at the same time, and after reading his story it was made perfectly clear why he is the way he is. Looking forward to what comes next. Narration was great.

great series
great series, great characters, several surprises. Mr Duran is an incredible narrator. It got a 4 instead of 5 only because at the heart it was very sad and I don't do well with sad. Listen to romance to avoid sad.
