About this listen
When Liberty Banks-Owens attends a Fourth of July picnic with her surly, unfaithful husband, Jake, things don't go as planned for the plus-sized Southern belle. First she pummels her insulting mate with a hearty dose of her hash brown casserole; then she indulges in a hot, impulsive affair with a seductive Italian hunk she meets at the picnic. Liberty always has a way of adding her own personal touch to every event...
On this Independence Day, handsome art professor Antonio Bertini meets a woman who frees his heart and fires his sensual imagination. Not satisfied with a brief, impulsive affair, he aims to pursue his Liberty - and keep her close to his heart.

Funny Story
This book made me laugh throughout the entire telling. Can you believe someone would say "Well it looks like no one else is going to marry you so you may as well marry me" and she did. Too funny. I was given this book in exchange for an unbiased review via audiobook boom. The professor knew what he wanted and he went out to get it. He supplied her with enough self-esteem to make her a better stronger woman. Just goes to show you what the love of a good man can do as opposed to a man who says stuff like "that dress makes you look like you are wearing your has browns on your hips." There were so many others zingers in there that you will have to listen if you want a good laugh.

A Spunky Female and A Passionate Male Lead...
Any additional comments?
Liberty, the female lead, is not having a good time at a Holiday picnic,
that is.. until she meets a hot professor named Antonio.
Sparks fly and not just the fireworks in the sky..
Liberty was far from a push over and didn't take any crap from her husband.
I felt bad for Liberty at times, she tried to make her marriage work but her husband didn't seem too interested.
Overall, this story was short read, filled with a spunky female and a passionate male lead, there was a scene that I did not agree with but understood Liberty's reason.
Liberty was able to move on with her life and there is a "Happily Ending".

Nice story
What did you like best about Roman Candle? What did you like least?
IT was a nice story.
Would you recommend Roman Candle to your friends? Why or why not?
Probably not, because the voice was just very hard to listen to.
