About this listen

The final game of the tournament has arrived. And this one is the deadliest of them all. Cole and his coven are ready, though, and Cole has set his sights on expanding his dark harem to include a certain orange-haired witch. And nothing, not even Elder gods, is going to stand in his way.

Cool series but starts to lose steam around here

This is when I stopped reading and listening to this series. There's nothing wrong with it, per se, except that the plot moves too slow and the MC has the exact same relationship dynamic with every single girl in his harem. After reading three or four books in the series, you generally get the idea that you have seen everything there is to see with this series. I may pick it back up again one day because I've heard about a particular threeway in one of the last books that interests me, but we'll see.

DAMN

Well LJ has done it again. Great action, interesting storyline, and left just enough questions that I want more. Look forward to the next book.

Good as always...well maybe 2 complaints.

I get a kick out of the SciFi/Fantasy Harem genre and I really dig this series. I'm not a fan of the master and slaves relationship between the male protagonist and his harem of women but it fits with the rest of the story so it usually doesn't bug me to much. I really like the fact that there are no good guys or heroes in this story. Everyone is kinda evil.
My 2 complaints are:
1st. In this book (book 4) the character Vesta is given a new personality trait by the author. She is now all about being beautiful and the beauty of everything around her. She makes comments all throughout this book relating to her own beauty or someone else's beauty or hating ugliness etc etc... This new personality trait makes her seem shallow and not nearly as likable. Almost to the point of being annoying. Now had she been like this from book 1 then it would feel normal and organic but in the first 3 books of the series she doesn't have this personality quirk and is a much more likable and enjoyable character. I hope the author drops this new personality trait and goes back to writing her the like she was in the first 3 books.

2nd. With each book the main protagonist is becoming more of an egotistical and controlling asshole during the sex scenes and it's starting to get a little ridiculous and annoying...but it fits with the rest of the story and overall vibe of the story so I can shrug it off.

Other than these to minor complaints I'm still really enjoying this series and I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes.

Study standards

They routinely torture, experiment and kill humans by the dozens and say “meh” but humans do the same and they are somehow monstrous. Worse? Somehow the characters think well taken care of slaves who work as barmaids or other easy tasks is the hight of evil. Just one example of the wack logic and standards of these books.

A female point of view on a book written for men

I love this series. Enjoyable characters and the story line is great. The harem aspect doesn't bother me at all.

Book 4 throws some curveballs you don't expect. Logan did a great job. The only part I struggled with was the ending
sex scene. Begins very erotic, but it loses steam...it's really loooooooong. Other than that, it's terrific.

The acting is amazing as always. I love the dialogue between Cole and Alexander. Chris does a fantastic job and brings
the characters to life. I can actually picture the characters in my mind as they go back in forth in conversations. Well done Mr. Boucher. Jessica amazes me. How she keeps all the voices with the right characters is very impressive. As Cole adds more witches to his coven, I look forward to the direction Jessica takes new characters.

excellent story, I was riveted from chapter one. the MC is so good at being bad. the world is beautiful and i can't wait for Mr. Jacob's to describe the next area. the narrators did a superb job and really brought Logan's text to life. soooo many questions, can't wait for the next book.
