Publisher's summary

Marly Miles has been happy in his life as a lone Omega wolf, living and working among the humans of Orlando, Florida. When an attack on him and his friend brings Marly to the notice of the Sergeant of Arms of the Epitaph's Motorcycle Club, he realizes immediately that the man carries the same scent as his attackers. Not a very good start when the same man is also his mate.

Alpha wolf, Trent Beaumont has spent a lot of years living as a human when he walked away from his home pack. Forced to live as a straight man, because of the Epitaph's club culture, he walks away from Marly after checking the man is safe. But no wolf, not even an Alpha, can refuse the mating call from the Fates. But with his club President looking over his shoulder, and a woman panting after him to share his bed, Trent isn't sure it will ever be the right time to claim his own Omega.

Fights, misunderstandings, and a lack of communication aren't the only problems Trent and Marly face. Trent has a history that has clouded his judgment and when Marly gets attacked again, Trent realizes he could lose his mate permanently if he doesn't get his head out of the sand.

Warning: Contains one hot biker, a beautiful twink with a sassy mouth, and a ton of misunderstandings. Graphic M/M sex, violence, and strong language.

Really good start to a new series

Trent and Marley were so hot together. What I would have liked to have seen was more of what was going on with the gang. There was talk of turf wars but we only see one fight when they are attacked. Also, this is a shifter book and they never shift! I hated that!! There is talk of them shifting and running together, I want to see it. I want the description of their wolves. I want to see them hunt and play together. I feel cheated by not seeing that. This was basically a non-shifter alpha/omega book. I couldn’t stand Stephanie. She had way too much power in the gang. Women do not have that power in a motorcycle gang, regardless of who their father is. Even though this is a stand alone, I hope these two pop up in future books.

Derrick McClain did a great job narrating this story.

Very short story with m/m wolf shifters

This story had some promise, but just reinforces my usual reluctance to read/listen to short stories. They are always "short" on development. This m/m story of wolf shifters had a cute, interesting fiesty omega, and an Alpha wolf who is a bit of a neanderthal. And due to the quick resolution I didn't feel any attachment or satisfaction for either character.
I actually found Trent's biker president much more interesting than Trent himself.
I finished listening to this one about 1 1/2 weeks ago, and I am having a hard time remembering any specific plot points or action. Just an ok story.
This is probably just my personal aversion to short stories. Most of the time, Lisa Oliver is a good bet for a good read.
Narration was a plus. Derrick McClain's narrations always make the story better.

Great new series!

If you’re a fan of Lisa Oliver you know that she’s amazing at creating really well-developed characters full of flaws and strengths who fall in love with passion and some humor. Her Alpha/Omega series is definitely no different.

It starts with a closeted Motorcycle gang member who finds his omega after other gang members have beaten him. Right from the start Trent has to pick his loyalties and change his life. Marly, understandably, is less willing to trust.

While this is not my favorite of Lisa’s series, I’ve really enjoyed it. None of these characters stand out for me as strongly as those in Cloverleah, but they are all unique and have their own appeal. This series is more loosely connected and each book is more standalone than in Cloverleah.

Derrick McClain does a great job narrating the audiobook and absolutely adds to the overall sense of “being there” and I think listening is a great way to experience this story.

Enjoyed/But wanted a little more.

I enjoyed this story. The narration was excellent. The only thing I'd wished for, was that the author gave us a little more permanent stability for the main characters. Things that were mention in the story. It would have been nice to know that they came to fruition I can't mention them, for giving some of the story away. But, all in all, it was a cute little story.

Strong Men

This story gives me so many mixed feelings so my rating is really more a 3.5.
There are stops and starts to the story as well. It was bit difficult to think about the fact that the main character who I am coming to care about is really involved in illegal activity. For an alpha there are times were Trenton really seems to be unsure of himself. It is also clear that for all his lone wolf story he has really attached himself to this human pack. I love how strong Marly is despite his status as an omega. He sure isn't letting anyone get anything over on him. Clive is seems to be such an interesting character and it will be interesting to see what will happen in the future for all of these people.
