Publisher's summary

The fading memories Jacob has of his deceased mother are buried on a few VHS home movies. Recently haunted by recurring dreams of her, he sets out to pick up a used VCR, and finds one at a local yard sale.

However, this is no ordinary VCR. According to the owner, this particular model not only plays movies, but it allows one to communicate with the dead.

Fueled by curiosity, Jacob takes it home and soon discovers that what he possesses opens a doorway to darkness, death, and lust.

Clever, quick listen!

Can you bring the dead back from a VHS tape? With a certain VCR purchased by Jacob, he is able to bring the deceased back for people to have their final say. This is the perfect way to make some extra income from those seeking closure...or is it? Jonathan Chateau has given us a short twilight zonesque story sure to keep your interest. How cool is this concept? And what are the drawbacks of bringing the dead back? A few twists and turns gives the story the suspense filled feeling and a surprise at the end to bring a smile to your face in contentment with the conclusion.

There does not seem to be a genre Aaron Shedlock cannot narrate. This horror/thriller type story is narrated with a voice that at times will show compassion to the person seeking their loved one, fear of who comes out and lust others. His ability to switch modes in such a short story and bring you all the different feelings is compelling.
