Publisher's summary

Kacey is a twenty-six-year-old graduate student finishing her English Literature, and Journalism studies. She’s discovered her ex-girlfriend inside her dark apartment in Dorchester, and something’s not right. She attacks in a rabid, red eyed, fury. Kacey is savaged, bitten, and nearly bled to death, before she manages to stab Danielle with a large kitchen knife; until she finally stops assaulting her.
Kacey passes out pinned under Danielle’s exsanguinated corpse, which saves her; even though she dies as a result of her injuries.
She awakens in a Boston morgue sans toe tag. Fron her very first breath she can feel something’s not right with her. A thirst begins to build inside her, screaming for blood.
After waking up in the morgue, she is taken to a vampire-owned castle hidden outside Boston. There she is shut away to try to cope with her blood lust.
She learns that even her own newly adopted species wants her dead; she carries a dark strain of vampirism which carried an almost impossible to control thirst.
Kacey will have to figure out how to tame and dampen her urges before she gets herself or many other people killed; while she figures out how to put an end to the constant threat looming from the tuxedo wearing, modern knights hunting her like a fox on the Moors.

Surprisingly Decent

I wouldn’t recommend this story to anyone looking for something incredibly deep and the virtual voice was pretty robotic but I enjoyed listening to this story. There was some interesting world building. I would have listened to book 2 next but for some reason only book 3 is available and I didn’t feel like skipping ahead so much.
