The Business Man After leaving the Navy, Bill opened the first personal training studio in Miami, Florida called Total Fitness Network. During this time, Bill became the first health and fitness professional to work with active adults in their 70’s 80’s and 90’s. These experiences marked a new direction in his career since beginning to research and study the effects of exercise and nutrition as people age. As he worked with active adults, Bill continued to practice his new and innovative theories on proper exercise and nutrition to build longevity and quality of life. In 2002, Bill moved to Panama City, Panama where he opened the first wellness-testing clinic in Latin America and the world. Soon after this first center began operating, Bill had the opportunity to meet and introduce his program to Dr. William Evans, PH.D. from Tufts University, researcher and developer of the Ten Bio-Markers of Aging. After obtaining Dr. Evan’s seal of approval, Bill’s usage of the ten biomarkers within the EliteFitForever Program set an important milestone in the evolution of this new approach to measuring wellness. During his years in Panama, Bill had the opportunity to work in association with renowned doctors from a number of different specialties such as Dr. Adriano Delgado, a Harvard -graduate endocrinologist, Dr. Jorge Paz-Rodriguez Medical Director of the Stem Cell Institute in Panama, among others (SACA university of Texas ). Through this association, Bill has found methods to integrate conventional medical practices with cutting edge metabolic analysis to create a new approach to wellness-testing and program development. His experience in the medical clinics and as the Athletic Petty Officer became the basis for the scientific approach he used to create what today is known as the EliteFitForever Program. Bill’s innovative concept successfully integrates science and medical principles with his unique approach to health and fitness. In 2011, Bill teamed up with author and prominent Cardiologist Dr. Steven Schnur and Dr. Perry Krichmar. Together they created EliteFitForever. EliteFitForever uses a series of advanced testing, including gene decoding and metabolic testing, to determine the best program for the patient’s unique physiology. EliteFitForever is a testament to his dedication to help others become healthier and live a better quality of life. Cortright, Bill's latest company, is fully devoted to his life's mission: sharing his unique knowledge about stress with the masses by stepping out of his clinics to expand his wellness initiative around the world through his talks and programs. The Person Bill grew up obese, losing and gaining 100 lbs three times throughout his 20’s. After trying everything in the market, he realized that nothing worked on a long-term basis and began to find his own answers. In 1983, Bill joined the US Navy, beginning his journey toward finding a more scientific approach to weight loss. During his 5-year career, Bill worked as a Corpsman Physician Assistant in the Great Lakes Naval Hospital. Bill was in charge of the Family Practice and Primary Care clinics. He was also in charge of the Military Sick Call, where he would see up to 50 patients per day. Working within the Naval Hospital allowed him to work closely with attending physicians and learn the principles of primary care, emergency room, and family practice medicine. Bill also worked as an Athletic Petty Officer (APO) and led the company through their exercise programs. During this time, Bill became the “go to” person for fitness advice and generated a following of sorts due to the fact that everyone he advised achieved unprecedented health and fitness goals. Bill would go on to win seven bodybuilding titles all while linking the fitness component to medical testing. Bill currently resides in Miami, Florida, and is devoted to his wife, five children and his work. He is a huge football fan and loves coaching his son's team.
