Bob Johansen is a distinguished fellow with the Institute for the Future in Silicon Valley. For almost 50 years, Bob has helped organizations around the world prepare for and shape the future, including corporations such as P&G, Walmart, United Rentals, and Hill's Pet Science, as well as major universities and nonprofits. A social scientist by training, Bob holds a BS from the University of Illinois, which he attended on a basketball scholarship, and a PhD from Northwestern University. He also has a divinity school degree from Crozer Theological Seminary, with a focus on world religions. The author or co-author of twelve books before "Office Shock," including a trilogy on how leaders can thrive in the VUCA World. "Leaders Make the Future" identifies ten future leadership skills that will be required. "The New Leadership Literacies" focuses on five practices or disciplines, and "Full-Spectrum Thinking" describes the mindset of seeking clarity across gradients of possibility, while resisting the temptations of certainty. Bob is a frequent keynote speaker for senior executive groups around the world.
