Caitlin Berve is a multi-award-winning fantasy author, editor, and speaker who loves including a pinch (or more) of magic in her stories. She writes fantasy, urban fantasy, fairy tale retellings, writing craft books, and the occasional contemporary piece for adults and young adults. Through her company Ignited Ink Writing, Caitlin edits novels, creates video tutorials, and writes. She has an MFA in Creative Writing and Poetics and speaks at colleges and writing organizations/conferences. Caitlin's collection of modern fairy tales When Magic Calls won the CIPA (Colorado Independent Publishers Association) EVVY Herb Tabak best fiction book award, best anthology award, and best cover award in 2021. The collection is illustrated by her mom, Beth Berve, and in 2022, they created and published the adult coloring book Magic's Brewing together. To stay active, Caitlin runs the Colorado trails and teaches Pop Pilates and Body Pump at her local gym. To relax and have fun, she makes color changing potions (available at caitlinberve.com) and colors. She seeks to fill the world with the kind of writing that lingers with readers and find magic in modern times.
