Catherine Powers is the co-author of THE SPREE OF 83, a memoir Rolling Stone Country editor Stephen Betts celebrated as a "freewheeling, often poignant oral history of one of the unsung heroes of Country Music." Wife, companion, and sidekick of the late, great country legend and Texas Country Music Hall of Fame Freddy Powers - longtime co-writer of many of some of Merle Haggard's most beloved # 1s, including "Natural High," "Let's Chase Each Other Around the Room Tonight," "I Always Get Lucky with You," and "Looking for a Place to Fall Apart," producer of Willie Nelson's Grammy-winning # 1 album "Over the Rainbow," and countless other achievements throughout his 60+ year career in Country Music.
Catherine Powers has worked as a model, actress and entertainment auctioneer/emcee, with credits including Robocop, Pink Cadillac, The Ty Cobb Story, as well as co-producer on the Ace-Cable-Award nominated "Rogers and Hammerhead" Television Show in Austin, TX.
