She contributes articles on Education and on mergers for Economic Times Prime. Her articles have been published in ET, Huffington Post, India Development Review, Business Insider, Your Story etc. One of her short stories for children got included in an ICSE reader. Her stories have been published online in portals like Juggernaut, Spark magazine etc. Her crime novel, A Marketplace for Murder, was represented by The BookBakers and published by Vishwakarma Publications in 2019. This is a whydunit thriller that questions the very idea of murder in the age of fragile digital identities. Her latest book is Sabu, the remarkable story of India's first Hollywood actor. This was published by Locksley Hall and represented by The BookBakers. Debleena has also written plays which have been performed in Bangalore in theatre spaces such as Jagriti and Atta Galatta.
