How do I tell you about me without sounding like a blowhard?
I'm not exactly sure, so I'll just go ahead and tell you all about myself. If it comes across all out-of-sorts and bragadocious, just let me know. I'd prefer that the telling of my life story sounded more like a Davy Crockett song, both informative, educational, and inspiring at the same time, like a resume set to lyrics. I'm trying to write my life story ahead of time.
Let me start with this...I'll try just about anything. If it's fun or compelling, I'll try it again and work at getting better. I've been described as the typical "jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none." It sounds like an insult, but I don't take it that way. I don't aim to master every activity I get into, but I do try to truly experience them.
I simply try to live my life in a way that syncs perfectly with God's plan for my life and my passions. Anything that doesn't fit, I eliminate or change.
That's where I can help you as well. Is your life perfectly balanced? Is it even enjoyable the majority of the time? It should be.
So what makes me so experienced in life? I'll give you a short review.
•Mountain climber with numerous ascents and two of the Seven Summits under my belt
•Professional scuba diver with published research in hyperbaric medicine
•Civilian paramedic and military combat medic
•Published author with books, comic books, and magazines to my credit
•Have served in two branches of the military- Semper Fi!
•A founding member of the Dept. of Homeland Security
•Trained improv actor
•Long-distance marathon runner and bicyclist
•Husband to a hot wife and proud father of three feral boys
•Martial arts black belt
There's so much more, but I'll stop there.
I once had a friend tell me, "Why don't you quit doing so much and leave something for the rest of us." My answer, why don't you join me? We create our own prisons in life but there is no reason we have to stay trapped. Maybe you should join me on a future adventure.
Oh, to answer your question, "What haven't I done?"
I've never been skydiving.
