Jim Robb was born in West Texas. He is a voracious reader of newspapers and books, always hungry to learn which way the political winds are blowing in the U.S. His special interests are the political history of America, classic fiction, political memoirs, and books on science, religion, military strategy, and poetry. For 26 years he has closely followed U.S. immigration trends as a vice president of NumbersUSA, an immigration policy interest group based in Washington. He is especially interested in the fascinating story of Hispanic political development in this country, having developed specialized polling techniques to ferret out more nuanced information. For eight years, Jim led a children's book club in his immigrant neighborhood. Jim loves listening to jazz, collecting art and books, volunteering at church, and traveling with his wife, Kim. He lives in Falls Church, Virginia.
