Joe Clarke is an award-winning filmmaker from Iowa, currently residing in Beverly Hills. He started making films at the age of 10, after his older brother gave him a camcorder, and has been making movies ever since. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a double major in Cinema and Communications. In 2010, Clarke founded Backrow Studios, a production company specializing in film, music videos, documentaries, and commercials. He has written and directed seven feature films, which have streamed in more than 150 countries on Amazon, iTunes, Netflix, Apple TV, DirecTV, and other global platforms. His Holiday film, Up on the Wooftop, opened in theaters behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens in South America. His latest movie, Alta Vista, won several film festival awards, including Best Picture at the London Independent Film Awards, and Best Screenplay at the Marina Del Rey Film Festival in Los Angeles.
