Nanno Marinatos, daughter of the famous Greek archaeologist Spyridon Marinatos, is a Classical scholar specializing in the history of ancient religions and imagery, especially that of Minoan Crete. She has also dealt with the philosophy and religious outlook of the Greek historian Thucydides. Her biography of Sir Arthur Evans is just out with I.B. Tauris. Since 2001, she is a professor of Classics at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a citizen of Greece and the US.
