Life is a Crooked Path I wish I could say something interesting here, but I looked at my life and saw, there wasn't that much there that was interesting. I was born in a north east mill town, a dyslexic, Irish Catholic 2nd son to two working people who never had much. I got into fistfights in the streets often growing up, and did poorly in school. You know, I was the average Irish Catholic kid. Except, that I had a very high I.Q. for a school failure. Today parents would explain it away and say I have ADD, give me pills and that would be that. But truth be told, I was a little ass of a kid. My oldest sister was 7 when I was born and she remembers that I'd always rip off my diapers. From the toddler stage onward I insisted on doing things my way. I was a street tough kid. When I hit puberty, my brain kicked in. In my last year of high school I got all A's, and when it was over I moved to the big city to start... my Boxing career. Hey, I grew up fighting it was who I was. Not for to many more years. The guys in the Semi-pro level are better than the guys I had been beating up. They hit me more often and harder. Half the time I had no problem, but the other half of the time, I had a fight on my hands. One night after I'd just decked my sparing partner, I realized I didn't belong in the ring anymore. I became a theatrical actor. I'd been playing around with it since High School, I was pretty good too. Years later I got the opportunity to go back to school full time, and took it. I won a scholarship to a National University with a top notch law school, and started to use my head. My books reflect my past as all writers works do, to some extent anyway. Read a writer's work, and you will know more about him than he'll admit to.
