Couldn't get past the f-bombs
- By Shauna on 02-13-21
Another winner from Robyn Carr and Therese Plummer
"The Summer That Made Us is full of Robyn Carr's trademark understanding of family dynamics—love, anger, despair, frustration, redemption, forgiveness.... There are many threads to the story and in less talented hands they would have bogged down the tale, but Ms. Carr keeps you riveted. There were moments in the book you knew what was going to happen, and not everyone got their HEA, but they were true to the story and didn't feel contrived. The wonderful Therese Plummer narrates the audio edition and, as usual, brings Ms. Carr's words to vivid life. Together, author and narrator have created a powerful story of family, warts and all."

Summer fling
- By ZOE R on 12-11-17
A fun, sexy summer romance
"This story reminded me so much of the movie Grease. A summer fling is always fun to live in the moment. Lance and Abby know that this relationship has an expiration date and yet they enjoy what time they have together. As with all relationships, feelings develop and goodbyes are hard to say when it is time. Lance and Abby make the most of every moment and truly are a fun couple. I found myself hoping for a forever for them. Coming from different backgrounds, it seemed like an odd couple, but they made it work. I could not stop listening to the story.
Tor Thom and Charley Ongel are a great duet. Tor Thom's baritone voice is such a wonderful contrast to Charley Ongel's voice. Both narrated their characters with such emotion, that it brought Lance and Abby to life. I cannot imagine a better duet for this story."

Light, swoony fun!
I love sports romance more than anything, so after finding myself in a bit of a slump, I decided to give this book a whirl and it absolutely did not disappoint. It’s full of the sort of smart humor and sparky chemistry that I love. There’s a bonafide villain and sweetly rewarding friendships and - best of all - a romance that absolutely reads like a fairytale.
I loved it! The narration was great, the story was just what I was looking for and I shed some happy tears in the end. Definitely worth the listen!
