As a species, we’ve always been fascinated by love stories. From ancient rulers (who could forget Justinian and Theodora?) to warriors, and even Greek and Roman deities (like Zeus and…well, just about everyone), there’s no shortage of lore surrounding the phenomenon that we call love. And this fascination hasn’t—and likely won’t—be going anywhere anytime soon. With gossip columns and celebrity news sites galore, we can constantly feed our obsession over the love lives of public figures from TV, film, and even politics. What can I say?
