South Asian Heritage

As a second generation South Asian American, I’ve always taken pride in our rich storytelling culture. I grew up mesmerized by my grandmothers' heroic tales from ancient texts, their inspiring experiences of starting over after the Partition, and the daily dramedy of living with aunts, uncles, and cousins galore. With so many of us craving the sense of community that these stories evoke, here are some of my favorites—from inspirational tell-alls from South Asian achievers to sagas of struggles against adversity to love, laughter, and the beauty of ordinary moments. —Lavina Khemchandani, Audible Editor
