Resumen del Editor

"Last name's Savage - it means wild and uncontrolled." Jace, a party boy, yacht builder and skilled photographer with a quicksilver temper, tells the pretty waitress at Chica Rios. He's desperate to get laid, but there's something in the way of his driving, overactive libido and the girl standing before him - trouble...big trouble, and a whole lot of it, from the trustafarian prick who works by his side, to his messed up twin sister, to the secret hiding at his house.

He sets out to woo Zoé Dubois, keeping her away from his trouble at home, encouraging her to let go of her inhibitions and live "Savage style", riding with him on the back of his motorcycle, exploring the great outdoors in a variety of oh, so delectable and naughty ways.

He ends up with way more than he bargained for. He uses his sexual experience to teach Zoé how to surrender, and his strong will and single minded focus to get his way with her. But it turns out she's the kind of woman who demands the truth...and that's just not the way he rolls. She leverages his love for her to get him to let her into his troubled world and tender heart - something he's stubbornly determined to protect. Their passionate, erotic, romantic connection keeps them bound together while the trouble he brings threatens to tear them apart at every turn.

Gotta Love Those Bad Boys

What did you love best about Looks Like Trouble to Me?

This is the best Calinda B book yet. I love the characters and the storyline. Calinda supplies laughter, angst, romance and sex. Jace and Zoe begin a rocky relationship and steadily build on their trust of each other. I look forward to seeing where the story goes next.

Good story

I was gifted with a copy of this book for an honest review.

Very good story line and would recommend if interested in a whorl-wind love affair. Narrator did well but still came off dry and a little monotone to me.

Loads of Action

What made the experience of listening to Looks Like Trouble to Me the most enjoyable?

I really liked all of the voice changes for the different characters, and how the narrator kept the same voice for each one.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the way the narrator didn't hesitate when it came to the naughty bits, and the way his voice deepened to match Jace's mood.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I do think he could have. It seemed like he wasn't too familiar with the story, and kept ebbing where he should have flowed. It wasn't too bad of a job though.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes it was. If I didn't have to go to work, I would have stayed awake for as long as I could to hear the entire thing in one go.

Trouble starts with a J

If you could sum up Looks Like Trouble to Me in three words, what would they be?

Fast, intriguing, hot

What was one of the most memorable moments of Looks Like Trouble to Me?

When he finally told Zoe about his niece and how she took the news. He was finally willing to open up to her and was rewarded.

What about Zachary Liebenstein’s performance did you like?

She did a great job. The story moved along quickly and I didn't find myself getting bored. Her ability to add the characters voices was appreciated so you could easily tell who was talking.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved the whole story. There was not the normal romance plot with boring items seen before. The plot was great and kept me guessing while I listened.

He should have been called Jace Mayhem

This story was a whirlwind. There was so much going on, but somehow the characters still seemed real. Often when there’s a lot of plot packed into a short chronological period of time, the characters act like it’s not too much/too fast/too crazy. No so in this book, there was a lot of mayhem and the characters knew it. Jace came in like a wrecking ball and flipped Zoe’s world upside down, but he did it with the best of intentions. I felt for him, trying to keep some parts of his life separate to keep Zoe away from potential danger, though I did kind of want to shake him and yell “just tell her already” a couple of times. He loves fiercely and doesn’t apologize for it. I was slightly annoyed at how Zoe would stand up to Jace, but then be completely gullible to basically everyone else. I appreciated her pointing out that their love affair had a much abbreviated timeline full of madness. Sometimes I think authors use that as a crutch to explain away over the top incredulity in a reader, but I didn’t get that feeling in this story.

There were some distracting mispronunciations, but the narrator’s voice was so sexy that I forgave him. I was worried at the beginning that I wouldn’t be able to handle it, but it wasn’t too overwhelming. I wasn’t so engrossed in the story that I didn’t notice it, but I could note it and get right back into the action.

There was a cliff hanger, but to be honest, it felt like the story had been wrapped up. It felt kinda like a cliff hanger tacked onto an epilogue. I just don't know how the author can keep up the level of intensity in another book without going too far. It'll be interesting to see (hear?)...

He's Trouble Alright

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Jace and Zoe's characters have so much angst, so much steam, so many strings that keep dragging the past into their path. You wonder if they're going to make it the whole way through.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Looks Like Trouble to Me?

Jace and Zoe finally getting together... trust issues and all

What does Zachary Liebenstein bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Great reading voice and inflections.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I love the way Calinda B makes her characters come alive and worm their way into your hearts.

Any additional comments?

Calinda B has done it again. She's found a way to make characters come alive and worm their way into your hearts. Jace Savage has had his share of troubles. He's run with the wrong crowd, played the field. dabbled in drugs, but that's all in the past. He has responsibilities and he's doing his best to turn his life around, at least until his sister cleans up her act and comes to get her daughter.

Zoe Dubois's a hard working student working her way through college in a field that excites her. She's on the right track when she meets Jace. She doesn't know what to do with him. He excites her like no one else can, but keeps the wrong company. There are a myriad of trust issues from her own life's journey.

Calinda brings these two together with passion, and from the start you wonder if it will be a relationship that will stand the test of time. So much angst, so much steam, so many strings that keep dragging the past into their path. As the first book of hopefully many more, this book lays the ground work with characters you love and characters that you'll love to hate.

Hot, wild and a great plot!

--I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
Another scorcher by Calinda B! Love the alpha male of Jace, while he calls Zoe "Baby" just a little too often for me, his fierce love and protectiveness is something you just can't help but fall in love with. He is a broken soul, and is looking for healing. Zoe, a waitress at Chico Rio's, the local bar is swept off her feet(literally on several occasions) by Jace. There is a lot of baggage coming with this man, a shadowed past, and idiot acquaintance(Billy) and his sister's daughter all wreak havoc on his life. He is slowly sorting it all out and in the end still has the girl! Zoe tends to be very insecure which gets on my nerves, claiming to love him and an hour later is pushing him away. I think by the end of this book, she has reached a place of trust and love. It does end on a cliffhanger, so now I am anxiously awaiting number two to come out on audio.

Zachary Leibenstein has the perfect voice for this. Deep and sexy, he is able to portray the good, the bad and the ugly of this book..tears for a woman can't be easy, and he definitely is able to pull it off! Loved his performance.
