Reese almost had it all: a loving relationship with Amy, an apartment in New York City, a job she didn't hate. Liara Roux is accustomed to being mislabeled and misunderstood. As a child, Liara’s inquisitive, instinctive, and rebellious nature was frequently problematized, in a world designed around the requirements of their neurotypical, cis, heterosexual male colleagues. Coming of age in an oppressively restrictive home, they shuffled tarot and explored self portraiture to rationalize the injustice of chronic pain, toxic lovers, and the cruel silence of divinity.

They were just a couple of tweets, but they propelled actress and Playboy playmate Carrie Stevens into the headlines, as stories swirled about sexual harassment in the movie industry and President Trump’s alleged affairs. Besieged by the media, Carrie was shocked and astounded at the frenzy these tweets aroused. It convinced her that she needed to write her memoir. Her attitude: If they think these stories are sensational, just wait until they hear about all of her life’s adventures.

They say the love of money is the root of all evil, but for Ken Swift, it's the love of a woman. Ken is 21, hurting people for cash to try to pay his way through college, when he lays eyes on Jimi Lee, the woman who will change the course of his entire life. What's meant to be a one-night stand with the Harvard-bound beauty turns into an explosion of sexual chemistry that neither can quit. And when Jimi Lee becomes pregnant, their two very different worlds collide in ways they never could have anticipated.

Just when Stacy Morrison thought she had it all, her husband of 10 years announced that he wanted a divorce. She was left alone with a new house that needed lots of work, a new baby who needed lots of attention, and a new job in the high-pressure world of New York publishing. Morrison had never been one to believe in fairy tales. As far as she was concerned, happy endings were the product of the kind of ambition and hard work that had propelled her to the top of her profession.

Not anything I have read or listened to before...
If you want something that will take your mind off of politics, Covid, work and any other current events, that is the book for you....just don’t listen to it at work if you want to keep your job. Warning: not for the prude person.
The performance was great as well.

Thought provoking.
As I listened to this book I could not help but wonder if I would have enjoyed it as much, or I if I would have enjoyed it at all, if I had read it on paper. The content is certainly adult in nature and the author deserves credit for being open and willing to discuss her experiences. The problem lies in the continuity of the story. Interspersed with the background story and the discovery chapters- detailing the authors awakening as an older but still sexual person- are an array of descriptive and titillating stories. These stories only tie into the book itself as more descriptions of sexual acts.
The narrators tone saved the book as far as I am concerned. Matter of fact but lighthearted when needed, she did not overdramatize the painful or sorrowful parts. Best of all the narrator was able to read many pages of human physical interaction without coming off as corny, overdramatic or silly.
I requested a copy of this audiobook and voluntarily left an honest review.

A candid life review
I would love to sit down for coffee with Lynn Brown Rosenberg and process this book. Although the details about her journey toward sexual liberation are fascinating, it was her upbringing and how that contributed to her drive later in life to discover her sexuality in a more authentic (to her) way that captured my interest the most. This was definitely a "no holds barred" book. I didn't originally understand that the short stories interspersed in Lynn's story pertained to someone else. That's often difficult to discern in an audiobook, but something to be aware of. The narration was excellent -- approachable and varied and handled a spectrum of maturely themed material very well.
