So-so

This book and narrator didn't quite work for me because it was too filled with meaningless sex, which--as a fan of erotica--is saying something for me. And I realize the h's constant sex was part of the point of the story, but it got to be boring and too repetitive even with 3 different men. And the h's transformation was so short-lived and with no real internal scrutiny that it seemed false and didn't resonate as honest or even feasible. Similarly, the love match is unconvincing. Great sex and the apparent ability to finish another person's sentence seems too little to form the undying love espoused within this book, especially with two people who didn't want to fall in love. And the narrator's voice often read the sex scenes as though they were perfunctory and read much of it too fast. Maybe she got sick of them too. I wouldn't blame her. The narrator's voice just didn't seem to be a good fit for the h's experiences much of the time. Altogether, I don't regret this buy, nothing inspires me to pursue another book by this author. If you only require many well-written sex scenes, then maybe this book is for you. Considering the author had to write so many, she did an ok job being explicit and raw in the detail. Though, of course, nothing was romantic about any of them, except maybe the one of two at the end once love was found or admitted. But by then, the listener may be tired of them, so it doesn't matter. And there's a small degree of BDSM just in case that's your thing.
