Resumen del Editor

A wounded warrior tormented by madness…

Finds the one woman who can bring him back from the brink.

Can Christine and Roarn fight the odds to be together?

And will she dare to try…Taming the Tiger?

Christine is a single mom with an empty nest. Now approaching menopause, she thinks she has nothing to look forward to but loneliness. That is, until she finds a strange man-beast caught in a trap on her land.

Roarn is a Tiger Monstrum Kindred trapped in a mental state called The Fury. Ever since a traumatic incident in battle five years before, he has been more beast than man, living on his animal instincts without the ability to reason or think. That is, until he smells Christine and her scent clears The Fury from his head.

A relationship quickly grows between the mismatched pair. Roarn finds the beautiful Mature Elite irresistible—he needs to scent and taste her to keep The Fury at bay—and Christine is more than willing to help him. But Roarn is a fugitive bound for prison and the other Monstrum are looking for him. Christine knows she can only hide him for so long before he is found. And when her drug-dealer neighbors start stirring up trouble, it seems their time is even shorter than she feared.

Can Christine and Roarn fight the odds to be together? Will The Fury return and rob Roarn of his reason? And can Christine bring him back from the brink?

Loved It!

Just love Evangeline’s Kindred books; storyline of this book was interesting and entertaining. Wish there were 2-3 books released every month to curb the Kindred withdrawals 🫣. Mackenzie did a wonderful job with narration as usual. Now the wait begins…sigh

Really loved this story! 😀

This was a fun book. I enjoyed the interactions between Roarn and Christine. There have been many books in this series where the main conflict between the couple bonding was that the Kindred made a vow never to bond, which I feel has been over-used. I'm happy to say that this book did not do this. I liked that Christine was a strong person while still being kind. So many authors try to write a strong female lead but end up making the woman a b#tch and/or too stupid to live. Although Christine did make some unwise choices, I can't find fault with them. I think it was brave and think I would have done the same (Although I would have given up calling the sheriff and called the DEA way before tolerating the evil neighbors).

The narration was great. She does a great job of giving each character a voice and personality of their own. I prefer listening at 1.35x speed to make pace more natural to me, but that's just a personal preference and doesn't affect my opinion of the book. Enjoy!

I DESPISED THE FEMALE CHARACTER WTF...

At this point I honestly DESPISE some of the main female characters that Evangeline Anderson creates.

This books main female character was one of the dumbest, unself-aware, ignorant women she has ever written. I'm sorry but she had a verifiable white savior complex and as an older woman she seemed to lack any common sense her many years of experience on earth should have given her. She was literally the epitome of the horror film troupe of the white lady running towards danger instead of away.

There were SO many instances where she could have sought help from the ex-military grocery owner before going false bravado first into a dangerous situation but this dumbo really thought she was capable of fighting 2 meth heads and 3 rapid pitbulls off with one shot gun and an attitude? Her Kindred and the police were no where around at the time but she that she was going to do something?! She had MULTIPLE options, including calling the poor girls parents after she was abducted but NO.

I find it more selfish when people are self-sacrificing when they don't have to be, because you're not only getting yourself hurt your getting someone else hurt because you end up FAILING to actually help anyone.
Evangeline Anderson needs to either write female characters with common sense and actual survival instincts. Or give the pen a rest until she can do a study on how women save themselves and don't always need a man to run to their rescue. These women are embarrassing, my favorite historical romance heroines are more fierce and competent then these women.
