They couldn’t be trusted as lawyers, judges, doctors, teachers, or even drivers. Men couldn’t be relied upon to make wise financial decisions, so they lost everything, from their driver’s licenses to the right to own property. Luckily, their wives, sisters, and mothers could handle those decisions for them.
Set against this new world, one young man is determined to go to college. He doesn’t know what he wants, not until he meets a girl, Beth. But the rules are very strict, so they can’t be together. All the while, there are other girls who might decide they want him for themselves. Jordan had better be careful. If he makes the wrong girl angry, he can be punished severely. He had better be obedient, docile, and subservient. Because really, that’s the only way for a boy to succeed.
