Historia
Death walks alongside me. But the reaper is no match for me. I'm trapped in a world full of monsters dressed as men, and those who aren't as they seem. They won't keep me forever. I no longer recognize the person I've become. And I'm fighting to find my way back to the beast who hunts me in the night. They call me a diamond. But they've only created an angel of death.

Emotional Rollercoaster
Revisado: 10-11-24
This book is very intense. I couldn't imagine my experience to be the same without the audio. The dual narration made this book even more real. I have never had so much emotional response to a book before. This was a wonderful 2 book series.

Historia
Daisy McCrae's life is in tatters. She's lost her job, broken up with her boyfriend, and has been reduced to living in the attic above her family's store, the Union Street Bakery, while learning the business. Making things worse is the constant feeling of not being a "real" McCrae, since she was adopted as a child and has a less-than-perfect relationship with her two sisters. Then a long-standing elderly customer passes away, and for some reason she bequeaths to Daisy a journal dating back to the 1850s...

Great book
Revisado: 09-14-24
I really enjoyed this book. Susan Boyce is one of my favorite narrators. I love the ghost twist. I'm very interested in family history's and the author did great with this.
I myself has had a parent walk away not in this form and was adopted by a parent that stepped up. I fully understand Daisy's internal struggle. No matter how much one is loved by an adopted parent that inner child always hurts and questions why the birth parent couldn't love them and what did they do wrong to not deserve their love.

A great end to a great series
Revisado: 09-07-24
I'm so happy with how this series ended. This book had a lot of twists and conclusions not just for the story but the characters. No cliffhanger.

HOLY COW....
Revisado: 07-31-24
Constantly keeping you on your toes and once the spice started it kept your toes curled. Captivating plot, amazing characters, and wonderful narration. Loved the characters back and forth. Really well written. Truly enjoyed the twist on serial killers, yes they themselves are serial killers, but they take out other serial killers.

Historia
If my childhood taught me anything, it was to survive. Now I have a deep-rooted mistrust of people and a wall of steel and ice surrounding my heart. So, when Reed Ryan steps into my life, I know I need to keep him far away. He’s everything I grew up hating. Fighting. Fleeing. Devastatingly handsome, he looks like a drunken regret and has heartbreak written over every inch of his body - literally. He’s the quintessential bad boy...and he’s a cop. But the man is my undoing.

Really good
Revisado: 07-28-24
Really good characters with a solid plot. Big fan of the dual narration. It was a ending to a damaged past. Love all the family members and close friends that make up family. One thing I really dont like is how Reid would tell he he was going to F her when she went through a lifetime of sexual assault. For all the love he said he had towards her it could have been expressed differently.

It's ok, but not continuing
Revisado: 07-10-24
I truly enjoyed the first few books in the series, but the main character has gotten more pitty me, extremely nosey, and hides a lot of information from the police when she is so called just there to help. I agree with other readers that there is no reason for all the political additives. I dont listen and read cozy mysteries to hear anyone's political views no matter which side they are on. This author is very one-sided and judgemental. I feel that if this author wants to share her political views then she needs to focus on left wing writing and advertise as that. I don't think I will be finishing this book and not listening anymore to the series.

When vintage cookware and cookbook collector Jaymie Leighton spies an original 1920s Hoosier brand kitchen cabinet at an estate auction, it's love at first sight. Good twist at the end.
Revisado: 06-07-24
It was a good story. For being in her mid 30's the main character still seems very naive. Not a huge fan of Narrators mens voices, but that just person opinion.

Historia
Two years ago, Dr. Gina Brady broke Thomas Prescott’s heart, but now her panic-stricken satellite phone call starts it beating again with a fury. Thugs kidnapped the good doctor from the remote jungle village where she was working, and now the retired homicide detective’s expert skills are desperately needed to save her. Led by a colorful, but perhaps untrustworthy local guide, Prescott journeys deep into the Bolivian Amazon, plunging into a world where the only thing more dangerous than the gun-toting drug traffickers and the ruthless tribesmen, is the jungle itself.
