Historia
Victor has seen better days. He just barely survived a savage showdown with the lethal warrior woman Rellia, which left her minus a foot and apparently cost him the life essence of his trusted magical axe, Lifedrinker. Then, much to Victor's surprise, Rellia asks him to visit her. And she does so not as an enemy but as an honorable opponent who owes him for sparing her life. Rellia wishes Victor's aid in claiming her family's land stake in a dangerous far-off realm. In return, he'll receive his own land and a place among the elite.

Really went off a cliff with this one
Revisado: 04-05-25
1 & 2 were good but this one was kind of lame for the most part. All the slice of life family stuff and the MC catching feelings for almost every female he encounters is a drag. Not sure why every story has to have a love story within nor why its always made into a primary focus. Lost a lot of hope for the series with this release but I'll give the next one a try just incase. Also it's not clear how the old hag talked to the spirit in the item that's bonded to the MC when no one else has been able to talk to the spirit. Not sure why that wouldn't get explained.

Historia
Victor can’t wait to get the hell out of high school, go to the local community college on a sports scholarship, and start his own life. But that’s all put on hold when he enters his abuela’s house and somehow ends up stepping into a world unlike anything he’s ever known, filled with fantastical meta-humans; walking, talking devils; and other creatures one usually needs some serious pharmaceuticals to see. Fanwath is no dream, though. In fact, it’s a nightmare.

Usually I avoid books that are less than 18 hours or so but the first book was free to listen to so I gave it a shot and I enjoyed it. There is room for improvement especially with combat but I don't really have any complaints. Hopefully it just gets better from here.

Revisado: 03-26-25
Not only is the MC dumb but he's also a cry baby. The family dynamic is already a drag and it's only going to get worse. The writing style along with the voice is just cringe at times. MC needs answers to obvious questions while at the same time some how knowing less obvious things based on instinct..... Just couldn't get into it.

Mind Numbingly boring & lame
Revisado: 03-25-25
I stuck around this long thinking it might get good but this MC has to be the most lame divine/God thunder lord in all of the multiverse. Greatest abilities include group meetings and controlling minions. This whole book is essentially one long group pow wow. Mr thunder lords abilities suck so bad he mainly uses a gun just like everyone else lol. Multiple books in and no one's advanced enough not to use guns or to even have interesting gun abilities/skills. The whole story just drags. I'm pretty sure we spent a whole chapter on how the MC hates smoking not to mention the several chapters long debate at the beginning that ultimately turned out to be about raising the height of the walls. "oh no Kelly we don't want to be like that" like what the people with a good wall in the apocalypse??? Now our god has folowers that he can lend power to. My only question is what power does he actually have? none that he really uses. It's just frustrating listening to this series so I'm out.

Historia
Hal's triumph over the Tower of Blight should have left his settlement of Brightsong stronger than ever. Instead, it left them without a leader, and their strongest members were sent halfway across the world. Trading frigid cold for unrelenting heat, the Dunes of Midnight are no less vicious than the Shiverglades. Beastmen attack the outskirts of civilization while the Adventurer's Guild falls to ruins. Wanting nothing more than to return home before the tribes of the Shiverglades arrive on Brightsong's doorstep, Hal seeks answers in the metropolis of Dalmanii.

Guess this one isn't for me any longer
Revisado: 03-19-25
It was pretty amazing until it wasn't. This book was mostly just conversation and character social interactions. Not interesting ones either and very little actually happened. What exactly happened with the highly built up and anticipated clan meeting...... Really just seems like a lame side story presented as a main entry. Character quarks are becoming old when they used to add value to the story. MC is too kind I guess to just walk away from the guild leader position but when it comes to hurting weaklings o he loves that. Major disappointment though I've come to expect this of writers.

Historia
Where power is measured in cards, Arthur stands among the elite as a Legendary card wielder now forever linked to a frighteningly powerful dragon. Or Brixaby will be once he grows from the size of a parrot. Before that can happen, a chance encounter whisks Arthur and Brixaby away to a place they never thought possible: A new dragon hive outside the kingdom. This Free Hive doesn't suffer from the scourge that's infected the rest of the planet. It's a place where crafting using card powers is king.

I tried
Revisado: 02-07-25
But the story never gets better it just gets worse. Everything is based on luck or lucky coincidence and filled with contradictions and or holes. A real lack of thought in this story. They use a rare shield to block a legendary attack and then right after an uncommon shield from the enemy couldn't block a rare attack because that's just how it works i guess... Been crying for two books about needing a good attack card just to get a weak one and then immediately after turn down a legendary attack card...... MC was so worried about keeping his word with the mindsinger just to constantly lie and BS everyone else. Why didn't they all get in his storage space and return to start??? So many forced situations. The MC is really an idiot for all his cleverness if you can even call it that. More like luck. 1 point of luck goes a long way in this world. Could at least get to the good stuff before we have to sit through a love story but nooooo. How is the chick considered his best friend over his roommate? It's just lame. I wasn't very impressed with the first 2 books but I figured it would be getting good by book 3. I was wrong.... Is what it is but I'm not wasting any more of my money on this story.

Revisado: 02-05-25
Let's send children with our most valuable assets to the front line of the eruptions we are all so terrified of. We don't know if any will match with the egg but let's send them anyways without supervision. Oh yea and our royals who need guards at dinner lets send them without guards.... MC has 4 lives including his own to worry about but let's follow the trap that we just identified instead of getting to safety. Geez the story just gets worse as time moves on. The elder dude couldn't lift the egg and then suddenly he could..... Such a good MC who constantly thinks about scamming and/or murdering others.... Some aspects are so forced it's ridiculous not to mention how much it drags. Major disappointment as this had so much potential to be great. Not the first though......

Arthur lives with his father, a fallen but proud former noble, in Border Village #49, along with the other good folks condemned to toil in service to the Baron. But Arthur has an edge: a stolen heart card that secretly fell into his possession, thanks to a dragon. It’s a priceless source of power for the Baron and the tyrant will kill to get it back. Invaluable, too, to a young man of spellcasting ambitions.

Interesting at first but ultimately childish & boring
Revisado: 02-04-25
Not much happened for it being a short book. As with a lot of authors it seems to be written for children but oddly with adult aspects. What's with the smoking to hide the scent of the cards just for him to be found out 1-2 chapters later. Total waste of time and unnecessary. The story starts off way to early with the MC being about 10 and you get what you would expect from a 10 year old. No action at all pretty much. Honestly it's probably going to take 5 books to get anywhere interesting but because there was a 4 year time skip in this book I'll give the next one a shot just incase we skip ahead to something interesting and action packed. I'm doubtful though. The voice is good though it's odd that most of the dragons sound like puppies on the spectrum.

Focusing on all of the wrong things
Revisado: 01-18-25
The story feels repetitive. Constantly setting up the MC to look good or just having others talk about how good he is. The love story aspect is terrible and the writer really pounds in how much hard core sex they have. I liked the Avery character but that was quickly ruined. Same with the character who's now a dog I guess. I don't mind a power fantasy but this one just isn't that good. Once the girlfriend gets kidnapped I'll be dropping this. Combat could be way better. World building could be way better. Mysteries around the system could be way better but there is barely any of that. Earth's one big happy family and the apocolypse just happened. It's just strange what's focused on and whats ignored. Had and probably still does have potential but I'm not filled with hope. Also why do all the females sound like they are on the spectrum......
