the story was fun, the female narrator was good

The male narrator has a great voice. That said, he should avoid adding in women's laughter. It's not written... It was excessive. The female narrator wasn't laughing constantly. Why is he? It was unnatural and grating. Kept making me think of Delores Umbridge.

I started this book without realizing it was a love triangle book. I can't stand love triangles - they get too close to cheating for my liking. Did not finish as it was just too uncomfortable to continue to see if it had a nice ending.

It seemed well written, and it was interesting, but I couldn't move past the cheaty vibe it was giving off.

I rarely do not complete a book, even if I don't like it.

This book jumped timelines so much that it ripped each story apart, zero cohesion.

Most characters were unlikable.

It was boring trough most of it, I found myself rolling my eyes and checking for how much left in the book.

There was a whole drug induced section that felt completely separate from the rest of the book, and it went on way too long.

Did not finish, with 5 hours left. Just could not waste 5 more hours.

Good story, but this book really needs the "Religion & Spirituality" tag... Some of the most common words were God, Bible, Pray. I would not have purchased this had I known it was so religious.

I'm so sick of racism and sexism.

repeating "mediocre white man" as if the crime was being a white man? Spoiler alert - the color of skin is NOT a crime! So sick of the blatant racism.

I've loved this series, but I'm done being quiet about this - if you can't say opposite without it being bad ("mediocre black/Asian woman" in this case), then it is NOT ok. At all. Are we supposed to LIKE a racist, sexist main character? Calling out the author to stop spreading racism.

I love all of Kasie West's books and have read all multiple times (except the last one - haven't had time yet!) but this one was definitely the weakest. I didn't really like the main character, and as a female gamer myself, just felt everything was off. The plot of the book was great, I just didn't love the journey.

Awful narration editing

While the narrator did a great job throughout most of the book, the editing was terrible. I was pulled out of the story so often by the changing of voices in different pitches mid sentence. Really did not flow well.

The story itself was good and an interesting take on the story.

Good, but pronouns, please!

Get ready to hear "Aurora Rose" more time than you can count. And the word "rose". There is seriously a line that says "Aurora Rose rose".

Ultimately it's a good book. It just seems like it increases the number of times it says "Aurora Rose" in the last hour of the book, and that just irritated me.
