Slammed through all 3 books pretty quickly. Absolutely in love with the world the author created, the performance the narrator gives, all of it. I truly hope there will be more books in this series in the future!

Idk about others but I really loved it.

Okay... YES, it is LONG. Yes, it is "chick-lit" as someone so eloquently said. But the story itself is great, both heart warming and breaking throughout. It also felt very real, like something that could have been real. There isn't anything in this book that I read and thought "no way could that ever in a million years happen". Thought this book was well-liked maybe even loved by everyone but after seeing some of the reviews I guess it might not be everyone's cup of tea!

This book is as inspiring as it is heartbreaking. It's well written and needs to be expierenced by each person, there is no TLDR that could properly or adequately sum this book up. It's not just about religion, don't let that idea be the reason you skip this book, as it was nearly my reason for skipping it! Also if you grew up truly dirt poor, you will likely find yourself relating to Tara, I know I found myself relating to her more than I thought possible from a book, even though I grew up mostly non religious. I don't re-read many books, I usually find that pointless but I can see myself re-reading this book again in the future.

worst main character

the lead girl is truly not likeable she whines the entire boxset and is just truly not a character i was ever able to get behind. The book also feels like it was all over the place loads of times I had to rewind to make sure I didn't space out and forget what was happening, nope random things would just start happening with no lead up or sense. I don't think I've ever written a bad book review but these are truly terrible and each book just ends what feels like mid thought, not even a horrible attempt at a cliffhanger just over.

I killed a girl last night. I did it with my bare hands and an old piece of pipe I found lying next to the dumpster. But that's not the part that got me. The part that scared me, the part I can't seem to wrap my head around and still has me reeling, was that when she charged me, her body shifted - and then she was a wolf. All snapping teeth and extended claws.

More than just a YouTuber book

I walked into this book thinking this will probably be another YouTuber book that you want to love because you love that youtuber, and that I would probably want ro return it by the second chapter. But what happened is I couldn't put it down and finished it in under 24 hours. it was an excellent listen (audio book) it was well done and thoughtful. I am very happy I decided to give this one a shot. I actually hope she writes another book sooner rather than later! Cheers to the dirty 30s!

If you've read the first book be ready to hear all the details again, it repeats so many of the basic details of the world over and over again. What is current, how its harvested, natural vs human made. Some of it is word for word repeats and it gets a bit tedious.
