Capturing the city of New Orleans and stopping trade up the river sounded like a simple task - New Orleans was far away from Washington, out of sight and out of mind for the politicians. What the British didn't count on was the power of General Andrew Jackson.

Great story and well presented

Really like Kilmeade’s stories and they are packed with history. He makes you feel like you are there and witnessing the action first hand.
Great story and well laid out. I like that these are not really long books as those can get tedious.
My only criticism would be the actual reading of the story. Kilmeade should let a professional do the reading.

Disappointed in this book

I have read or listened to every Dan Silva book and enjoyed the Allon series, until now. This one seemed very predictable and not as well thought out. The ending was clear 1/4 into the book and you could tell where the story was going. Maybe the Allon series should have ended a book or two ago.
Disappointed that Silva went to the well of attacking Jesus, the Bible and the Church in general. All that is left in this book is the author's endorsement of Antifa and BLM.

Great book, ok reading

I've read a few of Brian Kilmeade's books and really like the content and subject matter. Good history books that take on events rather than sections of history and the stories are not overly long.
Really wish the author would have let a professional read the book as that would have enhanced the overall quality.
