The author falsely claims that Man is God and Christ is human imagination. Both of those claims are inaccurate as clearly outlined in God's Word, the Bible. When Mr. Goddard quotes the Bible, he tends to make inaccurate claims about the quoted content. Although the audiobook narrator has an engaging deliverystyle, I recommend that the book's content be avoided.

Dramatization: Spirit of Christmas

I first heard this dramatized audio story on cassette tape decades ago when I was a kid. As an adult, I still treasure it in my memory. I don't have the tape version anymore, so finding this production on Audible in digital form is meaningful for me. Discovering it here and hearing the story again enabled me to experience some of the excitement children have on Christmas morning!

The acting, music, sound effects and story are all fantastic. Although I will not reveal too much of the story's plot, keep the Golden Rule in mind while listening.,

Boring Audio Dramas

The drama cast members did a fantastic job acting. However, I consider the stories (modern retellings of two Greek myths) boring. I understand to some extent connection between "Orpheus and Eurydice" myth and the two modern interpretations. By contrast, the connection between modern story and Homer's text in the Odysseus interpretation is beyond my comprehension. My favorite part of this drama collection was the segments where text from Homer's Odyssey are dramatized. I recommend skipping this title and buying an audiobook where the myths are retold without modern interpretation.

Philosophy about history.

I bought this audio title because I thought it would discuss how history is documented. Historical sketches exist and the author makes some valid points such as the fact of historical silences. Overall, though, the book comes across to me as philosophical nonsense. Example: the author appears to claim the past does not exist and only the present matters. As a student of history, I believe the past does exist and matter because it is what we can learn from to affect the future.

The author indicates in the bookthat it is intended for U.S. students persuing graduate degrees. I bought the book out of personal interest, and am thankful I was never required to read this book. The audiobook purchase was primarily worthwhile for me because it provides a perspective about history/historians by someone from another culture. Additionally, an excellent narrator was selected by the audiobook publisher. I cannot recommend this title's content, however. Please avoid it if possible.

Lessons from our pets.

This book is a collection of animal stories and the lessons our animal friends can teach us. Each story also includes a passage from the biblical book of Proverbs, reflections and a prayer. Ultimately, the stories are about what God, who created both animals and humans, can teach us through His creation.

Demonstrations of God's mysterious ways.

This audiobook demonstrates God's Word, the Bible, in action. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. (Isaiah 55:8 New King James Version). Heaven Sent contains stories about God doing amazing things. This title deepens my faith in the Maker of heaven and earth by showing over and over again that God does work in mysterious ways!

Engaging original stories.

This is a collection of original stories, read by a variety of narrators. The aspects which stood out for me are some stories being told in different versions and the variety of genres represented overall. Additionally, the production includes bonus audio tracks. Great listen!

Fantastic OZ dramatization!

This title is an unabridged audio version of "The Wonderful Wizard of OZ" book, with dramatization. The acting, music and sound effects make the story come alive in a way not possible by one-person narration. I am very impressed with the production quality. The MGM movie version is boring compared to the book original.

In addition to the dramatized story, some bonus tracks are also present after the OZ book concludes. I am confident that Dorothy, the scarecrow, woodman, lion and wizard would all enjoy this dramatization if they heard it. I think the same could be said for Ozma who ruled the land of OZ later in the OZ book series. Although the people of OZ probably won't hear this dramatization, I definitely recommend it to those living outside OZ. It's wonderful for any OZ fan!

A tribute to my Hero

As another reviewer on Audible stated, this compilation is a collection of Dr. King's sermons and speeches spoken by himself. I am a white resident of the South, and MLK has been my hero for years. He is an inspiration because of his focus on non-violent action and perseverance. Although he passed away before I was born, I know that Dr. King put those virtues into practice. I highly recommend this title!

Ancient Greece.

This title contains retellings of several Greek myths. As a long-time fan of Greek mythology, I am impressed by the uniqueness. Example: "Pandora's Box" is told in the first person instead of the typical third person.

At end of the audiobook is a brief history of ancient Greece and why it matters today. Example: I learned that the English word idea is derived from Greek. Bottom line: A great listen for anyone interested in ancient Greece.
