Historia
The Roses and the Dragons are at each other's throats after a failed assassination attempt brings their simmering feud to a boil. The assassin that ruined Cait's first day on the job has become a force to be reckoned with—and he's got her square in his sights. That's okay. She's got weapons aimed at him, too. Did we mention there's a dragon? But wait. The shifters are increasing the pressure, trying to force everyone off their land. The mysterious master thief is calling in his favor. And Cait's newly unlocked power means family trouble ahead.

I am enjoying the stories a lot, but all of the verbal abuse of Cait’s siblings, co-workers and her dragon, are getting tiresome.

Historia
Worn out after decades of packing steel and raising hell, Viv, the orc barbarian, cashes out of the warrior’s life with one final score. A forgotten legend, a fabled artifact, and an unreasonable amount of hope lead her to the streets of Thune, where she plans to open the first coffee shop the city has ever seen. However, her dreams of a fresh start filling mugs instead of swinging swords are hardly a sure bet. Old frenemies and Thune’s shady underbelly may just upset her plans. To finally build something that will last, Viv will need some new partners, and a different kind of resolve.

Legends & Lattes!
Revisado: 12-09-23
I loved this book! Completely engaging and thoroughly entertaining. The narrator is the author, who does a wonderful job with their character’s voices.
I am hoping there’s more adventures past the next book, because every character has a background that could be explored.

Historia
For one bright, shining moment, Tybalt, King of Cats, had everything he had ever wanted. He was soon to set his crown aside; he had married the woman he loved; he was going to be a father. After centuries of searching for a family of his own, he had finally found a way to construct the life of his dreams, and was looking forward to a period of peace—or at least as much peace as is ever in the offing for the husband of a hero. Alas for Tybalt and his domestic aspirations, fate—and Titania—had other ideas.

I loved getting Tybalt’s perspective!
Wish I could give more Stars, this was ahhmazing, and Seanan deserves so much praise.
Narrator was good with the character voices, and definitely added to the whole experience.

Historia
On a cold spring night in 1952, a huge meteorite fell to earth and obliterated much of the East Coast of the US, including Washington, DC. The ensuing climate cataclysm will soon render the Earth inhospitable for humanity, as the last such meteorite did for the dinosaurs. This looming threat calls for a radically accelerated effort to colonize space and requires a much-larger share of humanity to take part in the process. Elma York’s drive to become the first lady astronaut is so strong that even the most dearly held conventions of society may not stand a chance against her.

I really enjoyed this book!
Performance (as usual) was stellar (ha!)!
Story was confusing at times, but didn’t detract from my enjoyment.

Historia
Toby never meant to be a highway robber, but needs must. He didn’t plan to impersonate a top London valet either, but when the chance comes to present himself as the earl of Arvon’s new gentleman's gentleman, he grabs it. Unfortunately, the earl is the man he seduced and robbed on the road to get here. Oops.

Historia
Being 40 is supposed to be freaking fabulous, not fatal. Taking on a daunting new job minus the description isn’t the smartest move I’ve ever made, even if it was to save a friend. Hopefully, it doesn’t turn out to be the stupidest...or deadliest. Why can’t things stay the way they were? I love my old job. Supergluing ghosts back together and solving their issues is its own reward. Not to mention, I’m seriously good at it. Although, I must say, I’m ridiculously excited for the new Death Counselor’s arrival in nine months....

I very much am enjoying this series, and seriously dislike the cliffhangers of every book.
I also enjoy the reader, she’s very good at character separation.
The repeat of the final chapter, in the beginning of the next books is also annoying.

Historia
Thirty-nine was a fantastic year. I was married to the man I loved. I had a body that worked without creaking. My grandma, who raised me, was still healthy, and life was pretty damned good. But as they say, all good things come to an end. One year later, I’m a widow. My joints are starting to ache. Gram is in the nursing home, and dead people think my home is some kind of supernatural bed-and-breakfast. Gluing body parts onto semi-transparent people has become a side job - deceased people I’m not even sure are actually there.

It’s a Wonderful Midlife Crisis
Revisado: 03-13-23
I really loved this book!
Different concept, though I was correct with one area (you’ll find out towards the end ).
I do wish the people writing books about 40+ women wouldn’t act as though life is over & their bodies are falling apart, though. It’s disheartening and exhausting. Yes, some people do have issues, even earlier than 40. Others are physically active and in good/great shape!
The reader does a great job of identifying the differences between characters, and her voice is pleasant.
*off to get the next book in the series*

A killer midlife- always cliffhangers, now.
Revisado: 03-12-23
Too many novellas, that are far too short. Adding insult, they all seem to be cliffhangers.
The series started out great, but not sure if I’ll continue with the rest.
Same things happening & for gosh sakes, I’m 67 & not as “creaky” as the 40 year old!

Historia
In the months she's been in Shipton, new neighbors moved in across the street from her Philly home. Now, Ava has nothing against vampires. But when people in the neighborhood start turning up with bite marks and Uncle Wade goes missing, she can't help but to check into the newbies in the hood. One of the fanged ones isn't happy with Ava poking around and tries to scare her off the case. But he is no match for two necromancers, a tiger-ghoul, and a sheriff/hunter.

Fun but too short!
Revisado: 03-11-23
Instead of writing full length novels, they seem to be making novellas, now. (At this point in the series.)
Enjoyable, but too short. Also, how many more supernaturals are going to be introduced? LOL
