A great read
Revisado: 04-08-13
This story was done very well, very factual but kept you very interested from start to finish. By including historical data along with info on shark developement it was enjoyable. Of course the narrator Len Cariou just increased the story line, with his clear concise voice and inflections.

A Book that Made Me a Better Person

Good story- much too long
Revisado: 01-02-13
I read the book in high school and then reread now 50 yrs later. Now I remember why I didn't like it then. I love detail and don't mind very long books, have read most classics. But Victor Hugo sometimes goes on and on. The narrater is wonderful, I highly recomend
George Guidall, he does an outstanding job. The characters are distinive and clear.

Historia
In a strange room in Morocco, Mary Russell is trying to solve a pressing mystery: Who am I? She has awakened with shadows in her mind, blood on her hands, and soldiers pounding on the door. Out in the hivelike streets, she discovers herself strangely adept in the skills of the underworld, escaping through alleys and rooftops, picking pockets and locks. She is clothed like a man, and armed only with her wits and a scrap of paper containing a mysterious Arabic phrase. Overhead, warplanes pass ominously north.

Another Great Story
Revisado: 11-23-12
As usual I was thrilled with Laurie King's writing abilities. I was not impressed with having a male reader . I have nothing against male readers but I could catch bits of a Scottish accent in the reading. If you have a good thing, why change the readers?

Historia
No outsiders are ever admitted to the monastery of Saint-Gilbert-Entre-les-Loups, hidden deep in the wilderness of Quebec, where two dozen cloistered monks live in peace and prayer. They grow vegetables, they tend chickens, they make chocolate. And they sing. Ironically, for a community that has taken a vow of silence, the monks have become world-famous for their glorious voices, raised in ancient chants whose effect on both singer and listener is so profound it is known as “the beautiful mystery.”

Captivating
Revisado: 09-29-12
Another great Louise Penny, she is a great wordsmith and keeps you on the edge of your seat with her plots. Only thing I didn't like was the hanging ending, usually she gives you a clear ending but this time she catches you and makes you yearn for the next book in the series. Miss Penny has the ability to make you feel like the characters are real and you become invested in their lives.

Historia
January 1946: London is emerging from the shadow of the Second World War, and writer Juliet Ashton is looking for her next book subject. Who could imagine that she would find it in a letter from a man she’s never met, a native of the island of Guernsey, who has come across her name written inside a book by Charles Lamb.... As Juliet and her new correspondent exchange letters, Juliet is drawn into the world of this man and his friends - and what a wonderfully eccentric world it is.

Great read
Revisado: 11-07-11
This book came as a recomendation from others and now I know why. These authors know how to capture your attention with good storyline, interesting characters, great wordsmithing. It was hard to put the book down, you just couldn't wait for the next chapter. Made me want to move to Guernsey and become one of the Islanders. This is one of those books that will be read many times over.
