Historia
An orphan's life is harsh---and often short---in the island city of Camorr, built on the ruins of a mysterious alien race. But born with a quick wit and a gift for thieving, Locke Lamora has dodged both death and slavery, only to fall into the hands of an eyeless priest known as Chains---a man who is neither blind nor a priest. A con artist of extraordinary talent, Chains passes his skills on to his carefully selected "family" of orphans---a group known as the Gentlemen Bastards.

Well written and performed
Revisado: 08-06-18
I think the story was well written and is very interesting. I also think it would have been easier to understand reading a hard copy instead of listening to an audio book. There were many flashbacks and flash forwards with no warning and at times it was hard to tell what the timeline was. A second issue that I had was the amount of profanity. I don't mind some when it fits into context. There was a profusion of swearing in basically every sentence in this book, so if that bothers you then this might not be the book for you. Other than that I enjoyed the book and thought the characters were well developed and the story was interesting with many twists and turns.

A master storyteller as well as a leading energy expert, Daniel Yergin continues the riveting story begun in his Pulitzer Prize–winning book, The Prize. In The Quest, Yergin shows us how energy is an engine of global political and economic change and conflict, in a story that spans the energies on which our civilization has been built and the new energies that are competing to replace them. The Quest tells the inside stories, tackles the tough questions, and reveals surprising insights about coal, electricity, and natural gas.

Very interesting!
Revisado: 08-06-18
This is a very detailed and very interesting look back at how energy use and acquisition has impacted world development. Robert Petkoff does a wonderful job narrating the book, making it clear and easy to follow.
