I've spent the last nine months going through Roth's work present here on Audible. The man is skilled and truly knows the human experience. This book let's you get a little closer to seeing what may have been his true self and is a very worthwhile experience if you want to see inside the mind of the master

I've fallen in love with Roth over the past six or so months. Listening to Exit Ghost is an emotional experience. Nathan is old and going through the stages of frailty leading up to death. His mind is slipping. He's still sharp though. His mind is biting and his reflections and opinions still relevant. Exit Ghost brings us back to the plot threads of The Ghost Writer and I think both ties up some of those threads as well as leaves them open. I'd say if you've read through any of the Zuccerman novels it's worth it for you to finish this journey

phenomenal

I don't normally write reviews but The Sandman is probably my favorite comic series of all time and is incredibly important to me. I would say it helped shape my world view. I was very skeptical about this series when I heard they were adapting it into audio but boy were those fears unfounded. This has been the most moving and joy-inducing thing I've listened to in years and I am so glad I spent the credit. Special props to Kat Denning for bringing Death to life so vividly

Finally a decent ending

I am a huge King fan, and am currently running through alot of his library. His biggest flaw though(especially with later novels) are his endings. I dont know if Owen co-writing helped out but it certainly staved off the usual blues. The story itself is a semi typical apocalypse tale but with a uniquely fun twist and as always the writing is on point. Characters arnt as memorable or fun as say The Dead Zone or The Stand but they get the job done. Our narrator is fantasticly fun and I loved her accents and characterizations for everyone. I'll be keeping an eye out for her going forward

Good abridgement

I've always been a huge Clancy fan since I was a kid(games and novels) and i'm currently rereading all the old stories as I catch up on the new novels as well.
Frank Muller is one of my favorite narrators, may he rest in peace. He does a fantastic job here as always. Though alot of details are cut out this is a fast fun ride with President Ryan

A fun aside

On my ongoing journey to revisit my childhood love of all things Tom Clancy I decided to pick up this novel(one of the few I hadn't read).

As always Scott Brick is a fantastic reader and brings the characters to life in a very fun way. The story itself is a prequel and though not necessary to fully enjoy the jack ryan series its a nice aside with some cold war intrigue that Clancy excels at

I love Scalzi

My first exposure to Scalzi was The Dispatcher and since then I've been buying up his works every few months in between my bouts of thrillers and sci fi. I love his stories. The concepts are so wildly entertaining, original, and fun. I have to say that this is him at his best. Fun and emotional this is a ride you want to go on
