Which is why Jack suddenly finds himself the planet’s best hope to unravel a conspiracy of galactic proportions that could spell the end of the human race.

An entertaining read .
Revisado: 08-11-22
I enjoyed DT's Bobiverse series immensely and have been looking forward to his next novel. No, I didn't enjoy it as much, but I did enjoy it. This is entertainment, pure and simple. It moves at a good pace and I looked forward to it during my work commutes. Looking forward to the next adventure with Sheldon and his crew-mates. Ray Porter as always, a great narrator.

Great story of the Alamo
Revisado: 02-10-16
Another enjoyable read by Burke and outstanding narration by Will Patton. At just over 5 hours a relatively short novel compared to Burkes others and was just right for a 6 hour day trip. As always the characters are great, the descriptions vivid, and the learnings of the past interesting.

Poor writing and narration
Revisado: 12-17-15
Spoiler alert, oh just read and save your time. I was captivated with a story of being adrift at sea for over a year. The castaway Salvador Alvarenga was indeed a true story that I confirmed by researching the Internet. Unfortunately the author lacks significant writing skills and the narration was equally lacking. I absolutely hated each chapter beginning with Alvarenga's coordinates. He lost his gps at the onset of his misadventure! Lots of speculation and assumptions. I gave up on the book halfway through. Interestingly Alvarenga's companion who died early on is being sued by his family for eating him. How that can be proved will be interesting.
