I waited months before I finally decided to listen to Glass Sword due to all the negative reviews and typical 2nd book bashing. I must admit it did start out a little slow, but as the book progressed it became more and more exciting. This book takes a little more time to develop the main characters which makes their choices a little more believable and authentic. There were many new characters introduced very quickly in the middle of the story, which I found confusing and a bit distracting. Other reviewers have said this book reads like an action movie and I would agree with that analogy. Of course this book has a huge cliffhanger (no surprise there) but knowing King's Cage will be released in a few months takes a little sting out of it for me.

I was a little skeptical about this spin off - but wow was it good. Even though it is set in the same world of BDB it felt so fresh. I love the new characters and can't wait to see what happens next.

The Shadow is a passionate and complex story, filled with romance, art, history and suspense. William and Raven are reunited again and the Prince will stop at nothing to protect her all while battling forces that are trying to sabotage him and his rule over Florence. I absolutely loved this 2nd installment of The Florentine Series even though it was a little slow in the middle. We finally get to learn how William came to be and the tragedy of how he lost his first love. The last part of the book was filled with lots of heart pounding action and of course it ends in a bit of a cliffhanger. I can’t wait for the next book.

I wanted to get this book last year but put it off until closer to the release of book two. I'm so glad I did because it would have killed me to wait for the continuation of The Florentine. This was such a beautiful and romantic love story. Although it didn't end with a huge cliffhanger it did leave me wanting for more. Thanks goodness I have already per-ordered 'The Shadow'. John Morgan's narration was outstanding as well.

Although Eloisa James is my ‘go to’ Regency Romance writer, I can’t recommend this listen. The story was just too convoluted and the conflict was so ridiculous that it became rather annoying. I don’t care for plots where the main conflict or issue could be solved with a simple 30 second conversation. It made me mostly annoyed at the main characters. The first half of the book was great, but then it rapidly went downhill after the wedding. It was mostly a disappointment and I will not continue with the rest of the books.

This second installment is much better than the first book/novella. It’s a longer story which gave the author more time for backstories and world building. I don’t know what it is about this series but I am truly enjoying it. I’ve been growing tired of the vampire genre lately but this one is too entertaining to ignore. It’s a guilty pleasure for sure.

WOW, WOW and WOW! I loved this story. It’s the perfect marriage of urban fantasy and romance. This is my first Elizabeth Hunter book and I am truly mad at myself for not getting one of her books sooner. She is a fantastic writer and her descriptions of Istanbul made me feel as though I was there myself. It was mesmerizing. Not to mention Zachary Webber’s performance is outstanding! I want to listen to every book he narrates.

The best series, author and narrator out there for paranormal romance. The IAD series never disappoints and this one is no exception. Love it!!! I would give it 10 stars if I could.

Without your memory, does your heart still remember who it loves? That is the question and basically the main plot of this book. It’s told through flashbacks to the past and in the present so the reader must piece together the mystery alongside the main character. I really enjoyed the romance and the journey to the truth. I connected to the characters and really cared about what would happen to them in the end. The narrators were terrific as well. Great romantic listen.

It's not just the narrators that are terrible, the whole storyline is awful too. Can we please just get back to Dani/Jada? Seriously! Mac and Barron's story ended with Shadowfever - so why the recap of everything we already know with these 2 characters? Why not move on and let Dani/Jada and the other characters shine? This was just too much filler for me and ultimately a disappointment.
