Healing to read and adorable

I love this book so much! It was healing to read, and the story was so sweet. I rarely laugh out loud while reading books, but this one had me chuckling quite a few times. I’m a mom of a neurodivergent, extremely intelligent teenager, and I saw a lot of of him in this book too. So well done on that front, showing the inner workings of a highly intelligent neurodivergent person.

Fun Read

I enjoy all of Jennifer Peel’s books. I like the depth she gave Xander, that he wasn’t just a surface guy. there’s some good humor and great kisses so it’s always a win for me when those are in there.

Awesome fall read

This one took a turn that I really didn’t expect. I so rarely see this in this genre, and it was such a pleasant surprise of self discovery. I adored the characters and Becky Monson is truly a gifted writer. Putting this one on my favorites list.

I LOVED IT!

The humor was spot on and the pacing was excellent. Even though the characters had several very cringe worthy moments, I appreciated that it was true to the character she had developed for them. I also really like that. The male lead was highly intelligent and that was part of his attraction.

A fun escape

I really appreciated all the different ways Sawyer showed his love in how he cared for her before they kissed. It made that moment all the more meaningful. I also loved how the female lead stood up for herself and showed her strength and capabilities in so many ways. There was some excellent villains too which made those moments of victory all the more enjoyable.

Vulnerable and wonderful

I feel like this book showed some of the realities of dating a man who is divorced and has a child. Really appreciate it seeing that vulnerability in the many challenges her relationship like that can face. it was still romantic and everything a romcom should be. This was different in its vulnerability, and perhaps a somewhat realistic portrayal of the ups and downs of a relationship in that situation. I’ve never experienced a relationship like that, and appreciated the glimpse.
