Magic done right

I admit that the prose in this title are not the greatest in this title, but dang is the magic system awesome. I felt as if nothing was magic hocus pocus that just worked when the book needed it to work. Allomancy is such an entertaining magic system that it kept me going through the slow parts of the title.

A long story that moves fairly slow

The problem I had with this title was that it took much to long for the story to get going. Even when it did, they did not explain the systems happening in the background to well. The magic system is my biggest gripe, because it feels as if it is just in the book to solve problems when they arise. Because of this I felt little fear for my lead characters. I am hoping that it is explained better in future titles.

Fun Nostalgia

I read this book as a kid and decided to listen to it on a second go. Evan though my taste have changed in books this was a fun listen and I understand why I was entertained by it as a kid. Creative plot, fairly well written prose, and lovely hidden world we are brought into.
