Historia
Numbers. Like the alphabet, they’re one of the most elementary of concepts learned and memorized at a young age; but outside of figuring out tips and taxes, you probably haven’t given much thought to them since then. To a mathematician, every number has its own unique properties and personality - and when studied, played with, and manipulated, numbers can actually be tons of fun.

A JOY TO LISTEN TO HOW & WHY NUMBERS WORK
Revisado: 02-06-23
~ I couldn't get enough of listening to this Audible book, & I just keep repeating listening to it, so it gets deeply embedded in my memory.
Although the narrator is a little quick in narrating I was able to focus on what he was saying once I used the cloud reader to slow down the narration speed.
~ I even went to sleep listening to it all night. What a joy ride in my dreams.
~ The ways that mathematical number systems work was so intriguing, & the story-line even includes conjectures, which are mathematical theories yet to be proven & solved.
~ The narrator made it a good point to emphasize that all numbers are interesting, especially once you get to know them.

In Zoom, Bob Berman explores how motion shapes every aspect of the universe, literally from the ground up. With an informative and entertaining style and a knack for distilling the wondrous, Berman spans astronomy, geology, biology, meteorology, and the history of science, uncovering how clouds stay aloft, how the earth's rotation curves a home run's flight, and why a mosquito's familiar whine resembles a telephone's dial tone.

I JUST FINISHED LISTENING TO THE WHOLE THING
Revisado: 11-13-21
~ Explanative narrative tour thru life's journey & existential trek.
~ I got so addicted to listening to it that I had to listen even in my sleep, but I finally finished listening, & will listen again.
~ It helps so much that there is a PDF file to go along with it. I would have been taking notes constantly.
~ The narrator does a great job of merging the story of facts & figures so well that it is seamless in performance.

IT'S WAS ADDICTING TO LISTEN TO ONCE I STARTED
Revisado: 11-01-21
~ This handbook is spot on concerning risk & hazard management. ~ I am almost finished with the 3rd chapter & I am already impressed. ~ The narrator is outstanding., clear, concise, & to the point, with no distracting accents. ~ Unfortunately it doesn't come with the updated PDF file, but you can find it here: https://www.faa.gov/regulations_policies/handbooks_manuals/aviation/aviation_instructors_handbook/ ~ Thanx Audible this is my kind of book. I can even go to sleep listening to it overnight.

THE BEST PART IS THE NARRATOR
Revisado: 10-12-21
~ Although the stories are not quite the children's versions, the narrator,Joanna Daniel, is so into the characters that she is compellingly charming, enchanting, & whimsically fulfilling.
~ Moreover, I couldn't help but listen on, just to be tickled by her impersonations of the characters.

EXCELLENT BEDTIME BOOK
Revisado: 09-05-13
Would you consider the audio edition of You Are Not So Smart to be better than the print version?
~ I didn't know about the print version.
What other book might you compare You Are Not So Smart to and why?
~ You Are Not So Smart falls into the category of self development books that have snap in their method. It's good not to beat around the bush & just get to the point of who & what you need to self realize & self actualize to finally move on up
Have you listened to any of Don Hagen’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
~ Not that I know about....but he examplarily held true to the whole concept of this book with his lisply reaffirming & stoically matter-of-factly bearing.
What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?
~ The writer just about covered every niche & nuuky, whether imaginable or real, about how we like to excuse & self dilute ourselves, in 46 ways, for our actions & decisions so it seemingly looks like we won the sinking ship battle, after it sank. Don't let your ship sink in the first place!
