Revisado: 10-22-22
It has been some time since I listened to the original Trackers series that NSS has written, and I loved it. I wished that the story would continue, and I was very excited to learn that NSS teamed up with Anthony J. Melchiorri to write the New Frontier series. As always Audie award winning narrator Bronson Pinchot used his versatility and talent for delving into the truth of an authors vision. He simply brought the book to life.
I am really thankful that in the beginning of the story a recap was done of the original Trackers story line, you don't need to listen to the original trackers series to enjoy the New Frontier series, but I would highly recommend it just because its an amazing series as well.

I know I have said it before, and I am going to say it again. NSS has again hit it out of the park with HD9. Just when you think that The battle for Panama is behind them and there can finally be peace on the Vanguard Islands. Boom, you are wrong. I am not going to spoil any of the story, but you need to listen to this book. Especially with RC Bray bringing the characters to life. NSS continues to prove he is a master storyteller, you will not be disappointed. I have been a fan of his since I first listened to the Extinction Cycle. Also, check out Trackers, Orbs, E-Day. The only thing I am disappointed in is that I have to wait until next year to finally hear what happens in HD10, but it is worth the wait.

Big happy, big happy!
Revisado: 05-27-22
Once again Nicholas Sansbury Smith has proven himself to be a master story teller in creating characters that come to life and make you care so much. I listen to all of the NSS books, usually when I listen to to other audiobooks I kinda let the story fade in and out, but not with Nick's stories. I tend to hang on to every word that RC Bray says. This is the final book in the E-Day series, and its kind of sad when a great series ends, but Nick ended the series well. I think it also leaves open the possiblites for more stories in the E-Day universe.

Another Amazing Story
Revisado: 11-20-21
Once again Nicholas Sansbury Smith has released another fantastic book. RC Bray knocks it out of the park with the narration. He really brings the characters to life. NSS has done an amazing job on character development and world development. I really loved E-Day, but this sequel just takes the series to a whole new level. NSS has managed to keep you on the edge of your seat, just when you think you know whats going on. Something completely out of left field comes along and changes everything. This books shares the same mix of ancient Japanese Culture, Samurai Warfare and AI. Friends become enemies in this book and enemies don't exactly become friends, but it doesn't hurt. I would highly recommend this series if you are a fan of Hell Divers or other military science fiction in general. I am very much looking forward to the next book!

Just like every previous Hell Divers novel. This one opens with a bang and does not disappoint. Nicholas Sansbury Smith has once again delivered pure gold. This story just keeps getting better and better. NSS has introduced new scarier monsters, and we have suffered the loss of old friends. I cannot wait for Hell Divers 9 and 10. If you haven't read this series, start at book one and you will not be disappointed. This series would be a great movie and then even a TV Series.

Should you merge a human mind with an AI?
Revisado: 07-10-21
Is there a danger in of merging a human mind with an AI? Should it be done? Can the merged human stay human, or will the OS win out in the end? Well E-Day is a new series by Nicholas Sansbury Smith, and it begins to look at what can happen when you merge a human mind with an AI. I do not want to give any spoilers on this, but Nicholas Sansbury Smith has a very good take on it. This is the kind of story you should sit up and pay attention to because he is a skillful writer and master storyteller. There is much more to this story than just merging a human mind with an AI. There is ever present man versus machine fights. The story is filled with references to Japanese culture and the true honor of the Samurai warrior. You will be hooked from there very first chapter. If you have read any other books by Smith, it won't surprise you that this book is filled with action, and also he writes the best pet characters. I would highly recommend E-Day by Nicholas Sansbury Smith if you like action thrillers, sci fi, or post-apocalyptic books. I would also recommend listening to this on Audio Book. The narrator RC Bray continues to bring the characters to life as he has done with other Smith series. RC Bray just hits it out of the park on this one.

The government said the Variants were dying off.... That the beasts would be extinct in a matter of years.... That the Allied States had returned to prosperity and freedom.... The government was dead wrong. Deep under the cities, the Variants weren't just hiding, they were breeding. While the human survivors of the Extinction Cycle built outposts and brought back industries, the monsters were building something of their own.

No matter where you start you will be hooked from book 1 in each series. I do a lot of driving so I prefer to listen to the books rather than read them, but no matter how you like to enjoy books you will enjoy and become a fan of everything Nicholas Sansbury Smith.
