Historia
Brilliantly executed and compulsively listenable, Unsheltered is the story of two families, in two centuries, who live at the corner of Sixth and Plum, as they navigate the challenges of surviving a world in the throes of major cultural shifts. In this mesmerizing story told in alternating chapters, Willa and Thatcher come to realize that though the future is uncertain, even unnerving, shelter can be found in the bonds of kindred - whether family or friends - and in the strength of the human spirit.

Disappointing read
Revisado: 09-20-23
Not a fan…the book just seemed to drag on, with various storylines that never seemed to go anywhere.

When four old University friends set off into the Scandinavian wilderness of the Arctic Circle, they aim to briefly escape the problems of their lives and reconnect with one another. But when Luke, the only man still single and living a precarious existence, finds he has little left in common with his well-heeled friends, tensions rise. I tried…I really tried
Revisado: 08-27-23
I must have had to start this book over 3-4 times, as I just couldn’t get into it. Finally, the last time I restarted it I really focused and tried to follow along…but this book just wasn’t for me.
I really try to finish all the books I start, but I still had 3 hours of listening to go and decided enough is enough. I really wish Amazon still allowed books to be returned, because this one would have been returned a long time ago.

I absolutely loved this book. The characters, the storyline, the narrator…all perfection. This was one I didn’t want to end

Downloaded backwards!
Revisado: 11-19-18
This story would have been fabulous, however my audio book somehow downloaded in two parts and the 1st part (starting with Chapter 24) is what started first. At first I thought it was just the way the author wrote the book, but halfway through the book it behaved as if the story were over with the audible 'we hope you've enjoyed your audio book'. I thought I was done with the book and then realized I still had over 8 hours of listening to go! So I continued playing and sure enough it kicked off with Chapter 1.
Sooo disappointed as I feel like this completely ruined the storyline for me. I'm not sure if I just had a technical glitch during downloading or what, as a friend just downloaded the book too and hers started at Chapter 1 like it was supposed to.

Great story with very good character development
Revisado: 03-02-17
Loved this story but I have to say the quality of the narration was a little disappointing. At times some of the characters sounded very robotic or digital, instead of human. This is the first time I've experienced this with a book on audible and was a little bit disappointed

Didn't want to stop driving!
Revisado: 08-28-15
I listen to my audible books on the way to and from work. This book was so captivating that I didn't want to stop driving, even once I arrived at my destination!
